: : : Cowboy smiled back. Since the Holodeck he'd not been able to stop thinking about Hal. It hadn't stopped him in the bedroom though, having been with a nurse, a visiting cadet, and a temporary science officer who'd been aboard for a week. He wandered off and came back thirty seconds later with two drinks. He handed one to Hal "Champagne? 2354 a fine vintage I found a crate in the ships stores while looking for an injector manifold for my bird a while ago and since this is a celebration I thought why not?"

: "Champagne, how festive," Halai said with a grin. "And I'll try not to tell anyone. That crate probably belonged to someone you know." She sipped the slightly sweet, bubbly drink.

"Don't worry about it. Stealing champagne isn't exactly the worst thing I've done. Besides this is an occasion that calls for it, plus it wasn't labelled." he said drinking it slowly.

: : By now the scarcly clad waitresses were joined by very attractive waiters who only wore loincloths. Curtesy of the Fleet Captain who stood in a small group that reeked with pips. Apparently Fleet Captain Kendra Kerr was a strong figher for male and female equal rights!

: Halai looked around and honestly wasn't sure who to look at, the men or the women. It was times like this that she wasn't sure what to make of her Tyrellian heritage, but she certainly did appreciate it's openness. She knew things were going to start soon, but was going to wait for the official word. There was a lot of people in the room and her mind was ever reeling from her experience with the Preservers. She knew that she wanted to keep it fresh in her head for the debriefing. "You know, this is one of those rare times when quiet suits me best," Halai mused. My brain is too much on overdrive these days to jump in the middle of a group, but I do suppose I should go be a respectable senior officer and mingle…"

"You don't need to. Trust me I've been to dozens of these things and there's nothing worse than being in a place you don't want to be, making small talk with people you don't know and socialising when theres other things you want to do." he said trying to make her feel better.
