: : : : Michael needed time. He had 4 hours before the action would begin. He decided to take a tour of the ship while he kept in thought.

: : : : Somehow he landed himself in the 8 Forward lounge. Would they truly end up facing a force they had never really faced before? Would they be going to war? Or was it just a ruse created by Q's own mind? Was the Europa going to succeed in their talks? Or was he, Michael Halloway, going to mess something up?

: : : : So here he sat, looking out at the stars streaming past, contemplating his next mission and what was soon to come.

: : : Brook had been restless, she walked into the lounge and saw the Captain in deep contemplation. Obtaining two cups of coffee, she walked over "Penny for your thoughts Captain." She said quietly sitting down in one of the chairs.

: : Michael gave a half-grin as he saw the coffee descending upon the table. "Just the mission coming up." He took the coffee and looked up at the counselor. "Let's just say it has me a bit on edge."

: Brook nodded "Just the mission in general or something specific about the mission?" She asked and with a grin "Or are you trying to borrow trouble playing the what if game?" She asked taking a sip of her coffee.

Michael looked back down at his coffee, the swirls of the vibrations emanating within the liquid cascaded interestingly enough as he moved his hand every now and then. "Just the mission in general," he stated. He couldn't tell her about his dreams. He knew she would think him crazy and immediatley relieve him of duty. This was not the time to get attention to himself.

He looked back up at her, a slight grin on his face. "How about you? You worried at all about this mission?" he asked.
