Everett offered as he went to the far side of his office, opposite the window. There was a row of five very dusty filing cabinents and when Everett opened one up, a dancing group of dust went up in a cloud. "Uh, I don't think anyone has looked through the records for awhile."

: : First contact?! The words made the scientist perk up even more than she already was considering the massive project she being asked to help run. The possibilities of the new dome were endless. But her attention was now focused on the ensign and the Governor. "Would ya be wanting me to stay Governor?" offerring to help if needed.

"Yes, actually that would be most helpful." Everett nodded to Lt. O'Shea. He wasn't as experienced with first contact as Star Fleet officers, since he was never a military man. He was interested to see what exactly this new being was like.

: The ensign hadn't been sure exactly where to take the alien. They weren't exactly equipped to deal with first contact situations. So he figured why not start with the governor? It might have been a bad idea, but he figured it was worth a shot.

: Tinaius followed the poor sap. He wasn't sure this man was doing something smart, but at the moment, Tinaius had nothing to do but follow at this point. He allowed his empathetic abilities to extend into the office ahead.

"Calm down, Ensign." Everett replied with a slight smile. "Chantal, please go make our JO here a valerian root tea to help calm his nerves." He decided since his secretary was busy doing that, then maybe he should answer the door. He walked around his desk and across the room and opened the door to reveal Tinaius on the otherside.
