A different hum, one of a transporter deposited a human in front of the team, it seemed he hadn't really expected to see them this close to the caves. He looked at them wide-eyed and turned to start to make a beeline for the caves. The plan seemed to be starting to unravel as he turned a tribble fell from his bag....

: : : : : : : : : : : : "Freeze!" Barked Am'tra leveling his phaser at the fleeing individual. Spotting the fallen tribble, he spoke again. "I said 'Freeze!' Don't make me stun you!!" Am'tra started for the man, ready to fire his weapon.

: : : : : : : : : : : Ketchum pulled his phaser out in a flash. He concentrated on the runner, but kept a half eye on the tribble until they knew exactly how corrupted it was.

: : : : : : : : : : The man froze in his tracks "Don't shoot." He said turning to face Am'tra and Ketchum "I'll pay you good money to leave this area right now." He stammered "Don't hurt me." He looked at the tribble and took a step towards it, it knew him but he knew that if he kicked it toward the other two, it would distract them, but was he agile enough.

: : : : : : : : : Ketchum fired a warning shot near the man's foot, more-or-less muffled by the machinery noise. The tribble flinched but otherwise froze.

: : : : : : : : The man froze "I won't move. Just don't shoot me." He said freezing in the spot he was in, he was hoping that the Liquidator would realize there was a problem and bring him back to the ship. Moments later another figure appeared at the mouth of the cave, fired at the CMO and knocked him down. Allowing one of the tribbles to start attacking. Taking aim at the other two officers "Put down your weapons."

: : : : : : : Stepping between the newcomer and the team, Am'tra leveled his weapon and shot the attacking tribble. "We don't give up that easy," said Am'tra, now leveling his weapon directly at the man. "Care to test my reflexes?" he challenged. Am'tra's steady gaze collides with the man's, emphasizing his challenge. He hoped the CMO was being attended to, while his attention was focused on the armed man.

: : : : : : Ketchum checked Dr. Black, while keeping an eye on everyone else. He sensed that the original man wasn't going to act without prompting from the armed one. Ketchum had little medical training but it was still clear that Black was out of action.

: : : : : Dr. Ahrena looked behind him at Leyga "All is lost." He said "Lower your weapon before they kill us. There is no profit in death." He said to the man behind him "I didn't want to have anything to do with this." The man began to snivel and whine.

: : : : : Behind him the armed man rolled his eyes "Shut up Huumann! They know nothing of our plans. They only have suppositions and suppositions mean nothing." He shouted knowing that their time on the colony of New Shanghi was quickly coming to a rather unsatisfying end. He was a merchant not a fighter. Leyga was quickly weighing his options, perhaps he and Rolak could still come out ahead in this venture.

: : : : : Lowering his weapon "HUUMANSS. I wish to discuss a business proposition with you." He said stepping out of the mouth of the cave and showing himself in all his big lobed glory.

: : : : Not daring to lower his phaser, Am'tra spoke. "A business proposition??? After you just shot our Chief Medical Officer? I don't think so!" growled the tall Security Officer. "What manner of 'business' requires stunning non-violent members of our landing party?" he continued.

: : : Leyga looked at Am'tra "Trust me, you'll want to hear this proposition." He said "Me and my associates can help you get rid of the pests and give you the person that is responsible for all of the plans." He said speaking quickly as another figure appeared from the caves looking very confused as to what was going on.

: Leyga looked at Rolak and tossed his weapon toward Am'tra "There we're now unarmed." He said "This is a business deal that will benefit everyone. That is not something that we do. We are looking for profit only." Leyga said. Dr. Ahran watched one of his pets multiplying again and again, this was not supposed to be happening. He then watched as the tribble began trying to bite him. This definitely was not supposed to be happening. This had gone too far.

: Rolak spoke up "There's a ship in orbit. That's the ship you want." He said offering a small piece of information as a show of good faith. His toothy grin confident that they would be able to make a deal and walk away wealthy.

OOC: Apologies for the cranial flatulance of signing my last post as the wrong character, lol.

IC: Ketchum glanced at Am'tra to see what he thought. He left the decision about the ship, up to his superior officer, but there were a couple of other things he could address himself. He started by lowering his phaser.

"What happened with these tribbles? This is your doing, yet you seem just as alarmed as everyone else."
