: : : : : : Valerie decided to do the rounds of Sickbay and make sure everything was up together, and ready for anything that was thrown at them. In all likelihood Paige already had everything under control, all supplies would be fully stocked, and there wouldn't be much that needed doing - but it never hurt to check.

: : : : : Uncharacteristically, Paige had nothing done. In fact the medical staff hadn't seen her for a day or two. Since things had been quiet on the outpost. She had gotten Dr. Davis to cover her shifts for her but hadn't let Val know.

: : : : : Dr. Davis looked up "Chief, is Dr. Stone okay?" He asked as he sat with his feet propped up on the desk reading one of his comic books.

: : : : "When was the last time you saw her?" Valerie asked. "And get your feet off the desk."

: : : Donald dropped his feet to the floor "Three or four days ago chief. Maybe more." He said "I tried to stop by her quarters the other night and she didn't answer the door." He shrugged "I figured she was just sleeping." He looked around "I'll start getting this place cleaned up right away." He said standing up and slipping the comic book into his back pocket "I thought you knew she hadn't been in Sickbay."

: : "We haven't been on the same shifts lately, so I wouldn't have seen her anyway." Valerie replied. "Did she seem ok last time you saw her?"

: Donald looked at Val "She seemed off." He said "She seemed really pale and had dark circles under her eyes." He said "I asked her if she was okay and she shrugged me off and walked off." Donald looked at Val "She had been throwing up a lot." He said "I tried to talk to her and she brushed me off again."

"Ok. You sort things out here, I'll go and find her." Valerie replied, before leaving Sickbay and heading to Paige's quarters.

Standing outside Paige's door, Valerie rang the chime.
