: : : : : The CAG came upon Julien as a surprise. He was expecting him, but was somewhat pre-occupied at the exact moment Hanason arrived. Taking a quick sip of his Cola through a straw, he stood up and extended his hand to shake Lieutenant Hanason's.

: : : : : "Shall we find a table Lieutenant, the bar isn't the place to talk specifics. I prefer a more informal setting to an office but not so totally informal that we forget we are on duty."

: : : : "Yes sir agreed I kind of think i have an idea of whats up but I'll let you do the talking." Lt Hanason returned the handshak with a rather strong grip. You lead I follow."

: : : Moving over to table in a quiet corner of the ship's lounge, they both sat down. The response from the CAG had taken place in transit. Julien now responded; "We'll see if that's right then. As you know from the mission briefing, the air group now reports into 2O so firstly, I guess I could do with being brought up to speed on the strengths and weaknesses we currently have in the area?"

: : "Ok the squdrons are now built back up to par fighter and equipment wise Blade Squdron is at 90 percent efficencie right now Edge Squdron is going thru the paces in the simulator. I have a person in mind to lead Edge Squdron. Ens Gern who just joined us. He would be a major gain he was the late Pappy's son by the way, I pulled strings to get him here. Most of my pilots are green fresh out of the academy since the Ellora destroyed 80 percent of the squdron. No combat experiance for most of them. I am looking at my veteran pilots to train them. Then I will start actuall space manuaverous sometime before our next mission with your permission. Most of the pilots have never been out of the simulator except for cadet runs and i personally checked them out in the new fighters I am instructor qualified. Bottom line is the pilots need further training on the new equipment. If there is an emergancy that comes up i am assured they can act accordingly. I am current using the holo deck for simulated training. I would still like to get Blade leader promoted to Lieuenant. She has proven her self and you'd have another Bridge Officer. By the way hows goes the investigation on Pappy's death?"

: Julien nodded, Hanason was clearly eager but he would have to see how they got on working together ultimately; "I'm content with the training of the department right now. So far as space operations are concerned, I'm reluctant to authorise that just yet as we don't know the exact details of the upcoming mission. I think our current training regime should enable us to act appropriately."

: He took another sip from his drink; "In terms of promotion, that would come at the discretion of the Command Team and ultimately the Captain. I'll be sure to pass on your recommendation and I'm sure they would make the correct decision. Although, of course, promotion to Lieutenant is not of course a precursor to Bridge Service. Provided the officer in question was of an appropriate calbire, I see no reason why he/she would be prevented from Bridge Service although again that would be at the discretion of the Command Team."

"No sirno qoestions, I just wish i could get my boys some actual space time but i understand the paramaters of this upcoming mission. Also Blade leader is a outstanding officer of high calbre. She passed the Bridge Certification Test with a fairly high score. Please pass my recommendation to the Command Team. Until then I would like to promote her to Acting Lieutenant, to see how she performs before giving her the real thing.
