Two Spec Reviews Open; Still Seeking Submissions!
Hi, everybody!
Over in the Engineering Department, we're currently reviewing two potential new Frigate specifications.
Nicholas Villarreal has the Balao-class Heavy Frigate, which is all the more interesting because it's based on current submarine designs. You can read the spec and leave your review here: http://www.star-fleet.com/webb/node/484187
Meanwhile, Brandon Rehak has the Trident-class Medium Frigate, which is a little more generalized design. It's on its first review, so you can provide valuable input on the revision. Read the spec and review here: http://www.star-fleet.com/webb/node/484970
Engineering prowess is not required to leave a review on a spec, even if you don't know a Matter/Anti-matter Reactor Assembly from a transporter pattern buffer! Comments on playability issues are just as important when considering a spec as making sure all the numbers are right. If you think the CO's hot tub is too big/too small/extraneous, that's just as important as pointing out that you left off an I in your phaser type in one section.
Also, if you want to submit a spec idea of your own, I'm currently looking for Researcher specs and will also accept more Frigate specs. You can find more information on designing specs at http://www.star-fleet.com/library/bookshelf/tm/guide.html.
If you have a Researcher or Frigate spec, send it to me at edir @ star-fleet.com (removing the spaces, naturally).
Cheerio,
Capt. Brandon Irvine
Engineering Director
