Captain's Log:
Date: 04/25/2156

A general ship wide election was held during the recent "Name that Shuttlepod" competition. The winning names/registries of the Bonaventure's complement of shuttlepods are as follows:

NC-01/01 (Shuttlepod-1) "MERCURY"
NC-01/02 (Shuttlepod-2) "GEMINI"
NC-01/03 (Shuttlepod-3) "APOLLO"

Captain's Log:
Date: 04/24/2156

It's a red letter day for the Bonaventure. After nearly 4 months traveling uncharted space with out seeing seeing a single solitary soul, we have finaly made contact with another ship. Scratch that, make that three ships. After recieving a garbled distress call, we came across two small Nausicaan pirate ships attacking a larger Tellarite cargo freighter. Upon scaring off the Nausicaans, I sent a boarding party to the freighter to lend medical and mechanical aid.

The boarding party consists of:

LtCmdr Smail (XO)
LtCmdr Romar (CE)
Doctor Dawson (CMO)
Lt Blake (MACO)
Lt(jg) Carden (Comm)
Lt(jg) Harreld (Med)
MSgt Framer (MACO).

Having searched through the crew personnel files and a little detective work by Lt. Britney Carden, I've decided to fire NE Kelso as cook and place him on sewage reclamation. Lt(jg) Nickie Dupree has been transferred from her previous duties to that of ship's cook. There was much rejoicing from the crew.

NE Cook Kelso has out done himself yet again! Last night he served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that tasted like coffee! This morning, his pancakes tasted like burnt rubber and chili powder! Whomever made him our cook needs to have his head examined.

Captains Log:
Date: 12/05/2155

After several delays in crew recruitment and repairs made during our refit, we have finally received clearance to launch. Our first mission will be a standard survey of the 61 Virginis star system. 61 Virginis is approximately 27.8 light years from Earth. Cruising at Warp-4, it'll take us somewhere around 5 months and 9 days to get there, giving us an ETA of 05/14/2155. Although a rather long leg, this jaunt will give us a good chance to "shake down" the ship's systems.

Fleet Commander's Log:
Nov 12, 2155

Nearly seven years have passed since robotic attackers disabled the Bonaventure, and we finally have the means to bring her home. Starfleet is eager to inspect the wreckage of the ship and put the bodies of those that were not able to evacuate to rest.

The United Earth Council is eager to refit the ship, given the continued threat from the Xindi, and other potentially-aggressive races the Vulcans have only hinted at. As I see her dark form looming into view, I am reminded of the beauty of these things we call 'Starships.' Someone once compared their ungainly forms to a 'clumsy albatross,' but I think the person that said that has never seen an albatross in flight.

A former ship commander with years of logged space-flight time and the original Bonaventure designer have been brought here with a team of specialists, to the Armstrong Station on Luna, to assist in the reconstruction of the Bonaventure, if such a thing can even be done. We've come a long way in a short span of time, but the road is still so long ahead. It may take years to rebuild this derelict, and the truth is--with the ships we have out there, exploring--I expect they'll come back with enough advancements that this ship will be hopelessly obsolete. And again I'm forced to concede that only time will tell.

Things have changed in the relatively short time I have been aboard. Although we survived our first mission, I have seen the replacement of our helms officer, our communications officer and our armourey chief. I find myself growing more reliant on our Xo, Jessica McClary.

We have received a distress signal from the governor of a colony and are heading to them now. We were told there was a downed ship, but then we received a hail from the governor which was cut short. I suspect that the colony is under attack.

I hope that I am wrong, but I am preparing the ship to fight.

For the log, I hereby confirm that Captain Stewart has left command of the SS Bonaventure. I have been appointed in his place. It is my intention to carry out the mission and the duties of Captain in the same manner as Captain Stewart.

Noone can ever say that it is not dangerous out here. Even my arrival was ruined by a marauding bunch of pirates, taking pot shots at the shuttle until we were saved by the Bonnie. Now we are aboard and trying to get things back to normal.

They have been a lot of changes in Bonnie personel, but that is only to be expected in deep range missions.

I look forward to the test.

Captain Michael H. Nelson.

After chasing a Nebula that kept moving and finally vanished, therefore remaining a mystery, the Bonaventure answered a SOS hail.
Reaching the site of the hail the crew were intime to witness the hailing vessel be destroyed.
The Boni, after pursuit of the rogue aggressor vessel, have finally caught up with them. Hails have remained unanswered, so unfortunately force has been brought to bear.

We are preparing for our first real sim after enjoying a fairly quiet leave time on Wolf 359. We are going to check out a nebula.

Halfway to Wolf 359 our engines broke down, almost creating a wormhole in the process. We powered down to station keeping and found ourselves in an unknown region of space. I ordered a survey done of the new system as well as the collection of deuterium. The crew was given the go ahead to name the system and some of its planets and stars.
Upon the away teams successful return and the repair of our engines I ordered a return course to Wolf 359.
We arrived at 359 with no other surprises and are presently refueling and taking leave time as we await new orders.

'Captain's Starlog:
Nov 20, 2150

We are two weeks out of Spacedock on our way to Wolf 359. So far things seem to be going well. The engines are running smoothly though there are some gremlins that Chief Romar is trying to track down.
The crew is settling in and working well together.
I have made inroads on getting to know my senior crew and they are an extraordinary bunch, just as I expected in selecting them.
