Son of K. Van Zilen. Jeff Grew up in the Eastern coast of the United States Region on Earth. From an early age Jeff was known to take apart tricorders and other such devices and re program them (not always for the better). Whenever he could find it he would read and memorize Tech manuals and Warp Field Statistics. Jeff joined Starfleet on stardate 08061.1 at age 20 and was assigned to the Starship Columbia for deep space training.
