Evening all,

Thank you to those of you who applied for the positions of CO on the Columbia and CO Course Tutor. I am, however, a bit concerned that only two people out of a club of 200 were interested.

Unfortunately Sy has decided to resign as DH, XO and CO Course tutor. This leaves us looking for another CO Course tutor, an XO Course tutor and a DH Course tutor.

On a fairly urgent note, the Challenger is also in the market for a new GM. If anyone is able to spare the time, please let me know. The only requirement is that you have passed the GMT program.

On that note, I'm planning on building up a database of people who are interested in various positions. At this stage of the game, I'm not concerned with whether you can hold the position by law; you may be able to at a point down the line. What I would like is for any interested parties to email me if they would like their names down on the database for future reference and which positions they would be interested in.

The positions currently running in the Academy are:

Academy Fleet: CO, XO, CNS, GM, CE, CMO, CSO, COS
Academy Courses: CO Command Course, XO Command Course, DH Command Course, Counselling Course, Engineering Course, GMing Course, Medical Course, Science Course, Security Course.

If you wish to have your name down for any position on the Academy ships, please state which speeds you could post at (slow, average or fast).

Expressing your interest will not form a contract; you will not be held to it should you decline the position in the future, nor is the Academy required to offer you the position.

FComms, please can you ensure this information gets passed down to your COs, and preferably placed on your MOTDs. COs, please ensure this information gets passed down to your crews and, again, if it could be placed on your MOTDs that would be great. Currently the Academy is struggling to get people involved, and I believe it's down a lack of communication between it and the membership (I don't think that many people read the HQ or Command!).
