Punitive actions:

Although cleared from responsibility for an accident on 04220.6 Then Vice Commander FTS Earth in Nevada, during a routine exercise and demonstration of a squadron maneuver, an accident occurred with the Commanders fighter, both ejection pods activated and VC Boyington's pod successfully deployed, however the Commander's pod did not clear the debris field from the explosion caused by the two fighters wings touching prior to the explosion. The initial charges were that VC Boyington was flying too close to the Commanders ship and that is what caused the accident and fatal death of Commander Moore, a highly decorated pilot in his own right. Boyington was reduced in rank to Lt. Commander for his "negligence" in proper formation flying but was not charged in the FENAB.

Drunk and disorderly conduct as IP instructor, Mars Colony Fighter training base., Article 15 Drunk and disorderly conduct as IP instructor, Mars Colony fighter training base- reduction in rank to Lt. j.g.- re- assigned to USS Entente as pilot in Black Wing

Note on Gregory Boyington- He has a problem with alcohol and it is surmised by the psychiatrists that have evaluated him that this is caused by his perceived responsibility of the death of Commander Moore, considered to be his closest friend for over 18 years of service. Should his Alcoholic problems continue, he is to be remanded into the care of the ships CNS or COS whichever is more appropriate. -George T. Leatherneck, Vice-Admiral, 10th Fighter Group, Edwards, Nevada
