Bio:

Dan was born and raised in the east coast of Australia on earth with his little sister. he spent his pubescent years surfing just of the gold coast. after he finished high school he immediately joined the academy in hope of finding the rush of adventure he looked for during his pubescent years. sadly though this was all for nought because although he finished top of his class in piloting school his first assignment was as a cargo pilot for Jupiter station where he met a nice young lady named Kerry Taylor. when the dominion war broke out and the line of fighters where commissioned however Dan immediately signed up for the front lines along with his then Girlfriend Kerry. after being assigned to the ninth fleet Dan quickly found his place as a wing commander after Dan saved his commanders life in an ambush by 2 hedeki class vessels in the Bolian system. Nearing the end of the war Dan was assigned to the strike force to take back deep space nine where he was decorated for his efforts of defending the defiant while it made its way to the far side of the enemy fleet. The war was not all fun and games however due to the fact that he lost Kerry to an enemy torpedo in a fight with the Jem-hadar whilst on a routine patrol on the front lines. This event scared Danny physically and mentally with reoccurring nightmares about the event.

after the war things turned relatively back to normal with Dan going back to regular duty, traveling from star-base to star-base as a reserve fighter pilot accompanied only by his fighter, 3 scares and a reoccurring nightmare.

Fighter:

during the dominion war dan piloted a standard federation attack fighter( http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Federation_attack_fighter )which lasted him from the beginning of the war to the end of the war it was because of this that dan became very attached to his ship, even as far as to give it a name: Guvara (named after the Cuban revolutionary Che Guvara who was a personal hero of Dan's) when the war ended starfleet tried to reassign dan taking away his fighter in the process. Dan was not at all pleased about this and threatened to resign his commission if he could not keep old Che. and so due the the dwindling numbers of personnel starfleet command let dan keep his fighter and sent him to different starbases in the federation space.

Not long after Dan became bored of sitting in the bar all day and decided to add some modifications to Che. he started out small with a couple of storage compartments but over the years he installed the following items that he acquired from traders that visited from the starbases he was stationed:

forward and aft air breaks

1 fire arms compartment behind the head rest along with 1 Browning M1911 pistol that was handed down to him by his farther when the war started along with 8 magazines and 56 rounds

small cloaking device (obtained from a ferengi trader)

ejector seat in the cockpit with ejecting canopy and parachute

1 aft phaser emitter

2 aft torpedo launchers

1 point defence system using laser emitters

A salvaged warp engine from a class 2 shuttle capable of warp 4

an emergency repair kit and first aid kit

an entire library of select rock music to dans specifications

and a custom paint job with two surf boards in a cross on the right wing and picture of a tattered Australian flag on the left wing
