Background: Kamala was born on Krios Prime and looked after by her single mother. Kiatana died when Kamala was only 11 years old. About a year after her mothers death Kamala left Krios prime.

The time between Kamala leaving the planet and her joining the academy is currently undisclosed.

Medical:

A few broken bones from earlier in life had to be corrected using surgery during the academy due to poor medical treatment before. There has been no other serious medical issues other than that. Kamala is in good shape and eats a well balanced diet.

Psychological:

Kamala is a quirky, confident individual. She tends to get along well with others and is very sociable.

Although Kamala has never had a romantic relationship with another person while in Star fleet and doesn't appear to be inclined to pursue that type relationship with any one at this current moment.

Kamala also has trouble talking about her past particularly between the ages 13 and 17 and mostly avoids most questions directed to her which refer back to that time in her life.
