Captain's Log, Stardate 10073.1

We successfully returned the creature that had come on board the ship with the artefacts back to its home world, and all of the crew has recovered. Starfleet Command has deemed it necessary to send me to a conference and then a vacation, so I will not be on the Genesis for the next mission. Though he is new, I am confident that my XO will manager her well and keep her and her crew safe.

I am extremely excited to have the Genesis back. We've just completed our first mission with me at the helm again, and I believe it was very excellent. Hats off to Kevin Harbison, GM. He provides the following sim summary:

Captain's Log Stardate 08101.6 (GM- Phillip Stonness, CO-Lee Bridgeford)

This is my first official log as the returning commanding officer of the U.S.S. Genesis. A lot has happened since I was found unconscious in a jefferies tube during the horrible turn of our former Chief Engineer, Andy Burns. I am still without an exact recollection of the events.

After a short time rehabilitating, and more recovery time spent working for the Starfleet Research and Development, Advanced Starship Design Bureau overseeing a few design projects.

We were sent to an area of Federation space that recently reported an
anomaly. Upon arriving, we've become trapped inside the anomaly, and the
crew appears to be dying once they go to sleep. The Captain has just
fallen asleep herself. Only about half the rostered crew is still awake.
