This is Captain John T Glen. The impossible has happened! Somehow, we have been transported 300 million years into the past and 2.6 million light-years across space to the Andromeda Galaxy. How it happened, we don't yet know, but we do have theories, and you can be sure we are working on them. One thing we need to avoid is panic. A large explosive device has been detonated on Gamma Atreides III, homeworld of the friendly Tusarri Republic and smack in the middle of the Tusarri-Raspeek border zone, a volatile and strategically important region also home to the mysterious and xenophobic Raspeeki. The Merrimack has been dispatched to offer assistance to Federation nationals, investigate the origin of the device and attempt to stop the situation degenerating into open conflict.
