Okay, so with the recent changes to the subscriptions for each ship, it seems the PDept has run into a bit of a snag in figuring out how to add new members to ships generally.

Basically, it appears that in order to add a new character to the ship, that PDept member needs to personally subscribe to the ship where the new character is being added - otherwise, the ship isn't listed in the 'Audience' section. (Note: this has nothing to do with having admin access, which is automatic for the PDept throught the PDept Role).

The most obvious solution is also the worst: to have the PDept members manually subscribe to every ship in the club. First, this will probably do bad things to WeBBspace if we have a few members subscribe and unsubscribe to every ship every time a term changes (or sometimes sooner than that). Second, it would be a major pain in the butt to have to change everytime a member of the PDept changed.

I'm almost tempted to ask that we revert back to old way of having automatic subscriptions, at least temporarily, even if it means we lose certain other features...

I've listed this as 'critical', as it directly affects the PDept's ability to add new member characters.
