Hello,

This is a service announcement for our Tribble, Russell Watt. There is currently heavy flooding in his area of residence, and his internet connection is kaput. He was able to send a message through his workplace but was unsure of when he would get internet back on at home. Surely it couldn't be more than a week, but I don't know what flooding is like in Australia.

Thanks for letting us know Kendra. I was wondering how he was faring after I saw the reports. The flooding is pretty bad in some areas but I don't think it's too serious where he is specifically.

Thanks Kendra,

And yeah, it wasn't as bad for us as it could have been. Thankfully it bypassed us this time ... the towns of St George, Mitchell and Charleville didn't fair as well though ... and that's where dad's (specifically his mother's side) family grew up. Then his father was a staton master and they lived out there for a while as well.

We had a few days of heavy rain here ... and parts of Brisbane flooded (the usual suspects) ... including parts of Brisbane that were farmlands in the 80's (when we lived out that way) but have since become housing. Every year those parts of Brisbane flooded ... but now people are living there ... Bracken Ridge for example ... that name, Bracken kinds of suggests flooding is possible to me.
