Nick Asherton was a cadet at the Terran Empire Academy for Tactical Sciences. After being assigned as Junior Tactical Advisory Specialist to the Tactical Sciences Chief he was flown on the runabout Victory to be beamed aboard. The ship much like it's mirror counterpart was in a region of space harmful to humans without a ship's shields or planet's atmosphere to protect them. The mirror vessel under its cloaking field fared marginally better than it's counterpart, having shunted all power to saucer shields the entire remaining crew was in this portion working on the return to full power. However during transport there was a minute surge in the nearby psychometric energy causing a flux in the interdimensional fabric. The Asherton that arrived on the TSS Asimov was not the Tactical Sciences Specialist but an Engineer fresh out of Starfleet Academy. Leaving our scientist in a world unlike the one he had known before.

Demeanor: Nick is a likable enough guy but he is ambitious almost to a fault and views science as tactics alone seeing all other uses as weak and useless. He had not been unknown to have to stop himself trying to murder a superior officer to take his or her position and still does not understand why such an action would bring about a punishment and not an honorable death. He seems often to be worlds away from home while at other times seeming to be right at home with the day to day workings of the federation. Nobody knows yet what to expect from this newcomer, except that he really hates having his dagger taken away.
