If it was a Stafleet starbase and I saw this it would indicate that the base was at approximately 50-60% operational power wise. However, I would not like to guess without knowing what the words mean. If I am correct though maybe..."

: : : : : : : : The closest thing that may have 'looked' like a control area or bridge was up several levels in the central area. It was an 'open' concept with the concentric rings with the inner 'ring' being what looked like circular work stations facing out along the inside of the 'wall' and above it other curved panels. There was a slightly larger 'inner glow' to that area, however nobody had checked it out but only saw it from the distance.

: : : : It was possible that the computer just didn't 'get it' or wasn't really tracking to do that kind of conversion. However, that being said, another console to one side came to life, the green tracery under the 'skin' flowing and moving in a kind of 'script' fashion. A language perhaps?

: "I can, but not being a linguist I wouldn't know if it would be able to translate the sript." He opened his tool kit and began tampering with his comm badge. To the untrained eye it looked a bit like the inside of a watch, but Henry knew exactly whta he was doing. He worked expertly over the tiny parts taking bits out, rearranging them. He then had an idea. Picking up his tricorder and opening it up he removed a small part of it and then tapped a few buttons.

: After a few minutes he handed his comm badge and the tricorder over to M'raan and said "The comm badge will act as the UT and translate the words. It will then send it to the tricorder which will display it."

M'raan slung his phaserifle over his shoulder, and accepted Henry's new gadget. Activating the tricorder, he passed it across the 'console' with the alien text.
