Ryan Noble
Ryan is the second of two children. At eight his father was transferred to Vulcan to integrate Earth and Vulcan data systems for Terradyne Information Conglomerate. Ryan moved with his parents, but his sister being ten years his senior remained on Earth and went to college. Fortunately for Ryan he is very intelligent and was able to handle the rigors of Vulcan schools graduating with honors.
At eighteen, his parents divorced and he returned to Earth to go to college. He graduated from Dartmouth and then went to Cal Tech receiving his doctoral degree in astrophysics all before the age of 22. Failing to find enjoyable employment on Earth he sought a greater challenge in Starfleet.
Ryan excelled in the Academy. He found his experience and prior education made many of the classes repetitive and the others he had extra time to focus on. His decade on Vulcan made the physical requirements under-whelming. However he found the social elements of Earth life difficult. He didn’t interact with his female peers often and his teachers found him distant. Despite this, his experience, physical skills, and relationship with male peers made him a valuable team member and he was selected quickly for most collaborative activities.
After completing his academic requirements he was placed on the Columbia for his Cadet tour. Ryan’s Cadet tour was eventful and he was found himself under fire, where he acquitted himself competently earning an award for bravery. While the medal rests proudly and prominently in his quarters, Ryan doesn’t talk in too much detail about his first experience in combat. However, if asked about the event or medal he just smirks and says he was the only Cadet to shoot an Admiral and get a medal for it.
At the conclusion of his Cadet tour his was promoted to Lieutenant J.G. and remained on the Columbia as the new Chief Science Officer.
