The Valkyrie has been dispatched to a planet where the natives aren't particularly fond of any non-native culture. They attacked the first diplomatic vessel that the Federation dispatched, so the Valkyrie was sent both as a rescue vessel and as a diplomatic ship with some more punch. Two factions, TROS (who are belligerent and have even attacked the Valkyrie) and YON (who are friendly but seem able to disappear from all scans, save for a warp signature sweep), are in competition with each other, with YON wanting to avoid conflict with TROS. An away team has been sent to recover the Federation ambassadorial vessel, which crashed on an uninhabited planet elsewhere in the system, while the Valkyrie has to figure out what to do to rescue the ambassadors. |
