Welcome to OED V!

OED V is an alternate roleplaying area for experienced and pro-active roleplayers, who want to stretch their creative muscles beyond the confines of a classical Starfleet Officer role, but still adhere to ST Canon. OED V is mostly self-sim, which means you are responsible of finding ways to post, by either starting new threads or joining others pro-actively within AWOL limits. The Governor and Lt. Governor will, however run mini-sims at regular intervals that include most players.

How to join OED V

• Have a look at the OED V Brochure which gives you a lot of background info about the almost unlimited possibilities to roleplay on OED V
• Check the available positions to the left. On the roster below you will see which ones are already taken.
• Have you found one that you think you might like, but are not sure what it entails? Contact the Governor or Lt. Governor and let them explain the possibilities of that role for you.
• None of those options strikes your fancy? You'd rather be a bad guy/girl or something completely different? No problem. Let us know (Contact). We also accept non-canon species, but any 'special powers' have to be clearly defined in the character bio. We also consider ideas for new establishments.
• The next step is to make a character bio for your character and mail it to us. Character bios are mandatory for OED V, since they serve as an inspiration for the players to interact with each other IC.

Positions & Places on OED V

The Government - is based in the Government Tower in the Government district. Both the Starfleet senior staff and the Civilian Leaders have officers there, as well as the Black Fleet Commanders.

The Civilian Leaders - are based in their respective facilities in the city and primarily responsible for it, with offices in the Government Tower

Starfleet Command Officers - are based on the Orbital Platform, the Spaceport or the USS Centurion and primarily responsible for these, with offices in the Government Tower. *The position of CO USS Centurion can be assigned by the Governor to any Starfleet Officer serving on OED V in addition to their standard duties.

AWOL & secondary character Guideline

The current policy for all posters is 5 days. If you have a secondary character that is rostered because you play it frequently, you MUST use the drop down menu to choose between each character when posting. Otherwise your secondary character gets unrostered.

Current events on OED V

Shamera Zar has died and the Zar symbiont was implanted into the new Governor. Meanwhile the new Lt. Gov. has called an emergency staff meeting in the EOC, getting things in order again and initiating the necessary steps to investigate who was behind the assassination attempt on the old Governor. At the same time many new staff members are arriving and assuming their new responsibilities on Oed and a new Sushi restaurant is about to open too.
