Gordon smiled. “I’m glad you think so. Why don’t you start with the reactant injectors. Check to make sure that they are still operating at 98% thermal insolation. Cadet Jones outside will help you. I’ll be here in case you need help.”

OCC: This is for you to role play. I’ll play Cadet Jones for you, but I want you to take the initiative.

-Gordon, CE

Griffth Walk out to see him. “Hey Ready to work Cadet?”
Griffth,Cadet

Cadet Jones was a young third year cadet on his first training cruise. “I am, I guess the chief put you in charge?” he asked, he seemed to be annoyed at the fact that he wasn’t placed in charge.

-Cadet Jones, eng

I-I Guess Lets get working.
Cadet Griffth, Eng

Jones nodded. “Well, you are in charge, where should we start?” He turned and looked at the warp core.

-Cadet jones, Eng

The easy way is not to get shocked, Sometimes trying to do is hard.
(OOC) BUMP.

Jones laughed, “All to true, but all kidding aside, but should we start in the Matter/Anti-matter reaction assembly, or the reactant injectors?” he asked, looking at the cadet curiously.

-Cadet Jones, Eng

I Belive it would be bettrr to fix the injectors first
Griffth,Cadet

Jones nodded. “Well then, lead on.” He said motioning with his hand over to the warp core. “Where do you think we should begin?” He asked, once they were standing near the warp core.

OCC: The goal here is to get you to describe what you are doing in addition to talking.

-Cadet Jones, Eng
Well for us not to easy die should disable the warp core for a few hours, Or do we need permission form the captain

Stickyfingers took his chastisement in stride with a simple shrug and then finishes cleaning off his fingers and his work station, attempting to repair whatever damage the doughnut caused while the cadets wander off to the next thing.

GM Wombat

OCC: GM, the thread with Stickyfingers is different than this one.

IC: Jones nodded. “I think the Chief Engineer can make that decision. But before we do, we should start the checklist. Can you show me what to do? I don’t remember how.” Cadet Jones admited.

-Cadet Jones, Eng

Well if we get a higher ranking engie here, He or she might have more expernce.
Griffth,cadet

“Maybe, but Lt. Gordon placed you in charge. As I recall however, I think we are supposed to start with the checklist over at the anti-matter flow regulators, or what it the Magnetic plasma conduits? I don’t remember.” Jones said, thinking.

OCC: You can google warp core and memory alpha will provide you with some components of the warp drive. You can use it to help you and Jones here.

-Cadet Jones, Eng

Most Warp cores are designed As a safety precaution, the core could be physically ejected from the ship, should an event such as a catastrophic containment failure of the matter-antimatter reaction occur that cannot be corrected. There were also some tactical uses for ejecting and detonating a core on purpose.
Griffth,Cadet

“I think that is the warp ejector system. We are not trying to eject the warp core, we are just making sure that the anti-matter flow regulators are operating with in normal parameters.” Jones replied, looking at Griffth with an odd expression.

-Cadet Jones, Eng

I know that, If thats the case we need to study the core.
Griffth,Cadet.

Jones looked confused. “I don’t understand?” He asked, that same odd expression on his face.

-Cadet Jones, Eng

Well im am a noob on this,Sorry.
Griffth,Cadet.

Jones smiled. “We are all new engineers at some point. How about we move over to the main console here and have the computer to a scan of the anti-matter injectors first.” He suggested, moving towards a nearby console.

“Would you like to start?” He asked Griffth

-Cadet Jones, Eng

S-Sure I can always try. Griffth took out some clippers and slowey took out the bad wires

“If we are just doing a scan, I don’t think we need to cut any wires.” He said, after seeing Griffth pull out some clippers. “Let’s find out if there is a problem first before we start getting into the details.” Jones suggested. “You can check the system right here. Just ask the computer to perform a diagnostic of the anti-matter injectors. Here, you try.”

-Cadet Jones, Eng

Computer, G-Give me a Diagnostic test.
Grffith, Cadet.

OCC: To take to the computer, or to talk to someone using the Comm systems, we use the =^= or =/\= either one works. See below for an example.

IC: =^=The Anti-matter Injectors are operating at 95% efficiency. The third and fifth injectors are .0032 microns out of allignment.=^= The computer reported, on the display it showed where the anti-matter injectors were and highlighted the ones that were out of allignment.
