OOC: I figured a new thread was in order since we left the CO and XO at the airlock. ^-^ By the way, Cadet, I assume you’ve been in this room so I’ll let you take the lead in describing what you recall of it to stay consistent with the ship.

Nijix stood beside the Cadet, waiting for the old CoS to make his presence known. Silence was their answer. She took the initiative and headed inside. When the doors hissed open, she walked inside. Her thoughts were interrupted by Cadet Starr’s welcome onto the Challenger.

She twisted about to face him. A small smile on her face as she nodded. She thoughtfully collected her words before she spoke.

“Well, since you are here would you mind taking a seat? You can fill me in on details about the ship and yourself to get me up to speed faster.”

-Lt. Nijix Tavium, CoS

Starr followed the new chief into the once familiar office, now bare of Casen’s previous personal affects. It hadn’t changed much. The replicator still behind the desk, and the view of the brig nearby. “Well, where to start. I guess the first thing that I’m sure your aware of is the previous mission the challenger was assigned with that device? Personally, I didn’t like it. Only because it was starfleet technology I didn’t pay it too much mind, but I hate things kept in the dark. Security’s job after all is to know about things. Apart from that, everything has been relatively quiet. There was need of an engineer on the way here in the brig, one of the security fields went down - you can blame one of the cadets eating a doughnut for that.” he replied to get things going a little bit.

“As for me, I’ve been here a few weeks now. I’ve reported in for my psychological and physical exams so all up to date on that as well. I grew up in southern England, lived on a farm with the rest of my family. Helped keep me fit and all the heavy lifting involved got me ready for security.” he continued, trailing into what he told the previous chief. “It’s almost like reporting in again” he chuckled.

“I joined Starfleet Security as the academy, and I, felt that based on the experience I had with the labour on the farm would fit the role perfectly. I enjoy it, and well, at least in Starfleet the folks know where I am, and I can stay in contact,” he concluded, with a hint that there was more to the contact than he suggested.
