After meeting with the Captain, he made his way towards sickbay. He always held a certain level of respect for doctors and nurses because of their knowledge in the sciences. He hoped that his records had arrived on time as he stepped through the door with the typical hiss that tickled his ears as he passed. He glanced about the busy place with an eyebrow raised. He remained silent as he found a seat nearby to wait for one of the medical staff to find an opening to begin his examination. In the mean time he just placed his hands together in his lap and observed everything that was going on.

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

“Oh! And Cadet, don’t forget to check on the experiment in the lab– yes, make certain it hasn’t changed exponentially. If it does, contact me, and we can look into it together. It’s an experimental medicine.. so any changes, even synthetic ones from the computer, should be noted.” Waving to someone around the bend, a petite figure made their way to T’Kam, but they didn’t seem to see him yet. They were lean in their appearance, dark, ebony skin was accompanied by pale, vitiligo spots, the mark of a Trill woman. Smiling, they paused, seeing T’Kam out of the corner of their eye. Making their way over, they quietly waved. “Hello there, Lieutenant. Doctor Torrirs, how can I help you?” They offered a slim hand in greeting.

Dr. Torrirs
CMO

OOC: For some reason your character description made me think of Ezri Dax a bit XD I dunno why, but I feel like this character is going to be another one of your more interesting ones!! Love it! Mine doesn’t have much background yet x_x drafted him up in a hurry so I’m still writing him out!

OOC: Hmm.. I can sort of see that, although, Obiah is far from timid. ;) Love Ezri, though! I cannot wait to see what you come up with!

IC: Once the young Lieutenant came over he stood up in respect to her coming to greet him. Though when she held her hand out he looked down at it, before looking back up, and then down again before realizing what it was she was trying to do “Oh. Yes, my apologies. Typically a human form of greeting, a shaking of the hands.” He then held his hand out to clasp hers, and somewhat robotically moved their hands up and down two times before letting go and attempting a small smile. He definitely needed a lot of practice, though he felt as if he did somewhat okay this time.

He caught a glimpse of the pips on her collar and continued “I am pleased to meet you Lieutenant Torris. I am Lieutenant T’Kam. I have just come aboard recently and am required to complete a medical examination prior to the start of my duties.” He grasped his own hands and let them hand down in front of him, waiting for the doctor to provide further instruction.

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

“Clearly you don’t shake hands too often,” They smiled, their grin holding a certain friendliness about it that could have either been concerning or infectious, it just depended on how you looked at it. “I should have asked you about that, before just throwing my hand at you, I’m sorry about that.” There was a genuine nature to their soft voice, their lips remaining curved in what seemed to be a characteristic expression. “A physical? We can do that quite easily. In fact, I do believe there is a cadet who will do exceptionally fine.”

He raised one of his hand up with his palm facing towards the doctor. “It is quite alright doctor, no offense was taken. I believe I am at fault for not recognizing that type of greeting earlier. One would think that when participating in an officer exchange program one would be able to expect many different greetings.”

=^=Torrirs to Cadet Woolley, please report to the main Sickbay, examination biobed four.=^=

Removing their hand, they led the Vulcan man to a nearby biobed, gesturing for him to take a seat. “Tell me, Mister T’Kam, how was your trip over to the Challenger? Was there any turbulence, particularly.. annoying passengers?” They attempted at conversation, despite knowing the man was Vulcan. While waiting for the Cadet to arrive, they pulled up T’Kam’s file, quickly scanning over it, in case it became important at a later date. After all, they planned to observe the evaluation, in case Woolley needed any help. Although, they found he was one of their more.. capable cadets.

He tilted his head, slightly confused by her question. “None that I could think of. The Ensign that transported me was quite skilled as a shuttle craft pilot and was quite respectful while I was meditating. We additionally had several productive conversations, I have gained an additional small bit of knowledge in regards to humans thanks to them.”

There wasn’t too much in his file. His immune system seemed to be that above normal, but was still prone to the resistant virus here and there. No major surgeries or hospitalizations. There was a minor exposure to Trellium-D, however it was determined that there was no damage from the exposure. There was also a note in his file that the most recent Pon farr cycle was completed about two and a half years ago.

OOC: He’s still going on the assumption that she’s a she at least, judging by physical standards. He doesn’t quite understand the concept of special pronouns yet, but he tends to just be respectful of everyone by calling them their rank and name.

=^= “On my way, Lieutenant” Max replied swiftly. It was one of the few occasions when he wasn’t in sickbay during his shift. He was, with permission of course, teaching a first aid course in engineering. This following a recent cadet injury where his classmates revealed that their response to injuries was creative, though perhaps not best medical practice.

Carrying a small medical bag, Max made his way back to sickbay and directly to biobed four where the CSO and CMO were waiting.

“Cadet Woolley reporting as ordered, Lieutenant” his tone was professional and yet had this chipper quality. As with most interactions indicating that he was, in fact, quite serious about becoming an officer in starfleet while simultaneously demonstrating that military bearing was not fully integrated into his personality.
