“Lieutenant T’Kam, this is Cadet Woolley, one of my current medical cadets.” They introduced T’Kam to the young Cadet, “Doctor Woolley, this is Lieutenant T’Kam, he is our new CSO. In fact, I thought you might be interested in running his physical, for a little more practice on patients, such as the good scientist.” They smiled at T’Kam, their gaze calm.

Dr. Torrirs
CMO

He glanced over to the Cadet before looking back over to the doctor. “Of course, I would be glad to be of use for an educational matter.” He set both his hands on his thighs before he looked back over to the cadet. “As the Doctor mentioned, I am Lieutenant T’Kam. It is good to meet you Cadet.” He inclined his head slightly as to give respect. As it rose again he continued, “How would you like to proceed?”

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

Max looked at the CMO with somewhat wide eyes and pursed lips. Clearly not going to reveal how the course had actually gone and inwardly grateful that the engineers had pursued that path rather than anything that may have had them fixing people.

“The course was…satisfactory, Lieutenant. I believe the engineering department is better equipped to handle first response at this time, though that may come in the form of summoning a medic in all future emergencies…”

Turning to the CSO, he accepted his greeting and responded. “A pleasure to meet you as well, sir. I appreciate your willingness to let me conduct this examination.” Max set his own emergency kit in its place on a nearby cart before returning to the CSO. Reaching into his labcoat pocket he withdrew a medical tricorder and removed the probe, holding it in his left hand as he prepared the profile for a scan.

“I would like to just conduct a simple scan, sir. But first, have you had any recent illnesses or injuries we should be aware of?”

Cadet Woolley (Medical)

“Of course.” The Vulcan consented, eyeing the small probe. “As for illnesses, I have not had any to my knowledge nor have I felt any changes physically. The only change that I might note, which I believe to be in my record, is the completion of my Pon farr cycle approximately two years, five months, and seven days ago.” The Vulcan had no desire to hide any information due to the medical nature that this visit was for. Usually it was not custom to discuss ones .. cycles.

Lt T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

“Thank you, Lieutenant” Max acknowledged with his patient’s consent. He moved the probe around the Lieutenant’s forehead before moving slowly around his body. Carefully monitoring the scan on his tricorder. His movements were efficient and confident. Though a freshly minted M.D. with fairly limited patient experience, the one area Max had ample practice in was in completing a scan.

He listened as the CSO updated him on the completion of his Ponn farr, acknowledging this information simply by stating “So noted.” Max was keen to provide idle conversation during these routine exams. He did, however, base that off of the personality of his patient not wanting to simply babble on as he did his work if the patient didn’t wish to engage in such banter. “And no recent injuries, sir? Broken bones, serious contusions, burns or anything along those lines?” he inquired as he continued to scan.

Cadet Max Woolley (Medical)

“No. Nothing major to that nature Cadet.” He looked off to the side remembering some minor details. “There may have been an away mission or two where I have gotten some minor abrasions or bruising, but it was nothing that the medic’s dermal regenerator could not correct.” From the scans it would be easily apparent that he was in excellent cardiovascular and muscular health. He was quite young for a Vulcan, but then again Vulcans could live for a pretty long time.

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

The probe’s lights and sound ceased as Max released his index finger from it. Nodding as he slowly inserted it back into the tricorder. His now free hand made a few adjustments before closing the tricorder and placing it back into his labcoat pocket.

“Lieutenant, you are in excellent health. I see nothing that would interfere with your duty about the Challenger. Do you have any questions for me?” Max asked, folding his hands in front of his upper torso as he looked to the new CSO. Though Max wouldn’t say it out loud for the sake of professionalism, Lt. T’Kam’s physical health was such that Max was now thinking he should maybe do a little less painting and pursue more physically active hobbies that his own heart might eventually be half as strong.

OOC: Excellent snip! I was just about to snip it on this reply if you hadn’t already! :D I definitely enjoy the way you play your character! Hope that we’ll get some time to interact on the ship! :)

IC: It almost seemed as if the Vulcan relaxed a bit after hearing that the exam was over, though he still kept his current posture while sitting on the biobed with his back straight and palms on his thighs. “No questions currently come to mind. I would like to thank you both for your time on this busy day.” He looked towards each, the Chief Medical Officer, and her medical medical cadet as he mentioned his thanks. “If I am clear to go, I do one remaining appointment with the Counselor before I completely cleared for duty.”

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

OOC: Thanks! Snipping is the thing I’m least comfortable with so I’m trying to practice it more.

IC: Max picked up his PaDD and indicated his findings on the Lieutenant’s record. “You are most welcome, Lieutenant. Thank you for taking the time to come and see us. We are always here if you should need anything. I have nothing further unless Lt. Torrirs has anything further.” Max yielded to the CMO as this was technically their exam and he was stepping in for training purposes.

Torrirs had been standing to the side, observing the results of his scans and the information the good scienist had offered to them. Stealing one last glance over the data results, to ensure Woolley had not missed anything, which they greatly doubted. “It would appear Doctor Woolley is correct; your scans read clear and I see no reason to pester you further by keeping you in the medbay.” Raising their attention to his vitals, they scribbled them down, offering a smile. “You’re hereby cleared for duty, Lieutenant T’Kam. Thank you, for dropping by.” Holding their smile, they glanced over to Woolley, the light in their eyes saying all they had in mind: he had done well.

Dr. Torrirs
CMO

OOC: Sorry for the super delay on this! D: Work has been insane ..

IC: “I appreciate and value your time doctors.” He inclined his head slightly as he spoke, “It is reassuring to hear that I am still in good health.” He slid forward and placed his feet back on the ground getting off the biobed. “I will be sure to report immediately to sickbay if I encounter any .. anomalous ailments.” He ensured that his shirt was still tucked in before continuing. “It was a pleasure to meet you both, if you’ll excuse me.”

With that being said he headed towards the door to head towards his next appointment.

Lt. T’Kam (Oncoming CSO)

Max looked up from his PaDD long enough to make proper eye contact with the onboarding CSO. “Thank you for checking in, Lieutenant. And welcome to the Challenger” he said with a slight smile before finalizing the physical in Lt. T’Kam’s record.
