Wiles slapped the PaDD in his hand against his opposite palm over and over as he paced restlessly back and forth across his quarters. His resolve was waning. Did he really have to do this?The nervous cadet made himself stop and stand still. He exhaled and closed his eyes. Wiles pressed his comm badge after another second of hesitation.
=/\= “Osten to Tavium. Could I speak with you at your earliest convenience, Lieutenant? I have a report that I’d like to discuss in person before I submit it.” =/\=

Nijix was wrapping up a dispute between two officers when she got Osten’s message. She found herself concerned over his request as she pressed her hand back to her comm badge and replied.
=^= Tavium to Osten, currently I have some free time during my break. Meet me in my office in fifteen minutes.=^=
When Wiles arrived, Nijix had settled into her desk and in the process of finishing up her meal. A simple chef salad, roast beef sandwich and onion soup were lined up on a tray nearly gone. Her water was about the third of the way down. At spotting Wiles, she set her meal remains to the side. Her eyes watched him as she gestured to the seat across from her.
After a gulp of water, she then spoke, “All right, what’s this report about?”
