OOC: Exactly! Every time you aren’t sure what your character might see/hear/… or if you don’t know if something worked or if your character is able to do it, you’d leave it open for the GM to tell you.

IC:
With her medical tricorder in hand, her gaze fixed on the small display, Tija nodded and said, “Start the procedure on my mark.” She took a deep breath and silently sent another prayer to the prophets, before continuing, “Three - Two - One - Mark.” Hopefully this would work and they would see only effects in the parasite and not Torrirs.

~Lt. Tija, Asst. CMO

OOC: If you are every unsure, err on the side of “Ask The GM”. If I don’t know an answer I will make one up.

Garth glanced at Mika as his hand hovered over the computer’s controls, waiting for her to confirm that the infected doctor would be alright if they went through with it. “What’ll it be Ensign?”

(Lt. J.g. Garth, CSO)

“I think it’ll be okay, Lieutenant.” Mika said, then realized her answer didn’t sound too confident. “I’m sure of it,” she amended, “He can take it.”
- Cadet Tandra Mika, Doctor

Garth gave a curt nod. He activated the procedure using the sickbay terminal, perhaps a second or two late from Tija’s count, but immediately after Mika’s assessment. He leaned forward subconsciously to narrow his eyes at the read outs, watching the results of their efforts with anticipation. Cadet Mika’s confidence in the procedure made Garth even more certain that his idea would work, but he was determined to stay vigilant incase unforeseen complication arose.

“Start review of Cadet Osten’s status, Doctor Mika,” he said quickly, “I imagine that Lieutenant Tija will instruct us to start the procedure for him immediately if this proves effective for the chief medical officer.”

OOC: Well done incorporating the feedback you got from the GM! You’re a natural! If you wanted to snip the thread in your next reply, this would be a good opportunity to practice. - Ben

(Lt. J.g Garth, CSO)

“Yes, sir” said Mika, and she quickly headed over to Osten to check on his scans. She took a minute looking everything over, before making a decision, wanting to be ready if need be.

OOC: :) Attempted snipping, hopefully didn’t snip too much out!

OOC: Usually you’d make sure that the last post of every person is left so that they have a reference point. In this case, though, I think it is okay, as my character asked Dane’s character a question and thus she knows what to reply to :)
And as we managed to create a bit of a time incoherence, I’ll move the GM’s post and my last post to the end of this thread as they talk about the moment right after the procedure. It’s something that can happen easily for a variety of reasons and no big deal. Another option would also be to continue as if it hadn’t happened, but right now my brain doesn’t wan to do that. So I asked for permission to move the posts.

IC:
The procedure worked, marginally. At least Torrirs would live, if some nerve damage or scaring would occur.

GM Wombat

While scanning, the area in Torrirs’ neck, where they had been bitten to see if there were any changes to the parasite, she commanded, “Cadet Gartenberg, report.” And without moving her eyes of her tricorder, she added, “If this procedure worked, we’ll repeat it on Cadet Osten.”

~Lt. Tija, Asst. CMO

Adinah almost jerked to attention, so tense she’d almost missed that she was supposed to do something. “There appears to be some possible nerve damage,” Adinah mused, checking out the reading in front of her carefully. The least she could do was respond properly and with all the information. She just needed to breath, stay calm, and do the job she’d been working on for ages.

“Possible scarring too,” Adinah answered, eyes flickering over to the ill officer as she spoke. “But over all it seems to have been a success Lieutenant.” Adinah’s eyes ran back over all the information before her to double check herself, but that’s what she could tell for now.
