Sammi waved a dismissive hand. “Go if you must but don’t tarry. Your little engineer has been playing games with the temperature controls and when we find him, he may be pressed into service fixing the ship so we can leave on our own.”

Lillian had remained silent after learning that all the crew on this ship that had been infected where in essence walking corpuses. It was the risk that starfleet offices took coming out in space but still it was a sad way to start her life in starfleet.

“Thank you. I will talk with our Captain to see about getting the temperature controls corrected. And we will start a search of our own for a suitable planet for you.”
Max motioned Nijix and Anderson to move closer to him. “Once we have located a suitable planet, I will reach out to you.”
Taking a step back, Max reached up and opened a comm channel.
=^= Harkness to Challenger. We’ve come to an agreement. I will explain once the away team has returned to the ship. Standby for transport. =^=
=^= Harkness to Vras. Reset the environmental systems back to where they were when we arrived on the ship, and then head back to the Challenger. Harkness out. =^=

Nijix nodded and moved where directed. Her eyes skimmed over her cadet as she stepped into place, noticing her sorrow. Quietly, she gave assurance.
“You did the best you could, Cadet. After the mission is officially over, meet me at the primary Holodeck and we’ll both clear our heads. We both need it.” Nijix said softly, flashing a brief smile.

As the transporter beam grabbed them, and they rematerialized on the Challenger, Max breathed a sigh of relief. It was good to be back.
He turned towards the transporter chief, “How did the bioscan come back? Are we clear?”

Lillian stepped off the transported pad and and looked at the Transported chef as she waited for the report about the bioscan.
