Temporal onset of initial symptoms can vary, and since the only warning signs are temperament changes, the infection can be difficult to diagnose at first. Has the source has been eliminated? =^=

=^= Harkness to the Bridge. We are still waiting to get the all clear from the bioscans. But we are able to beam out the remaining Potterfield crew at any time. We’ve come to a tentative agreement with the entity that has taken over the Potterfield. They have agreed to give us back the Potterfield, but we need to help find them a new home where they won’t be disturbed. =^=

Emmy’s features perked slightly at the report. Finally, they had a plan.

The comm channel cut out as Emmy turned to the nearest warm body on the bridge. “Search for a nearby planet with similar atmospheric readings to the readings on the Potterfield. Prioritize ones with minimal other lifeforms.”

The Chief Engineer’s voice came over the comms.
=/\= Vras to Challenger. Environmental systems are now returning to what we found them in. I don’t want to risk blowing the compromised power grid, so I’m keeping just a standard amount of power to the systems. It will take a bit longer to return to the high temperature and humidity settings. But unless anyone starts messing around more with the ship’s power, the process should run its course. =^=

As soon as she received notification that Vras had safely returned to the Challenger, Emmy returned her attention to the cadets on the bridge. “Has someone found us a planet to take the Potterfield and remove the beings?” She was eager to get this mission completed and have the Potterfield crew restored to their positions. Something about the entire situation with how the beings had come to be on the Potterfield made her uncomfortable and she was ready to move on to something else.
