OOC: There are a fair number of loose ends that need to be wrapped up and there is an appetite to bring this sim to conclusion and start the next one.
In my original draft, more effort would have been spent on getting the refugees out of the Sick Bay on the Potterfield and not as much effort on discussing with the Sammi. I bring this up only to illustrate to the cadets that YOU drive the sim as much as the GM does. Never forget that you do have a very real impact on the direction of the story.
This post will serve as the official conclusion of this sim. We will take a couple days off, and next Monday we will start the next one.

Over the next few hours the uninfected patients, about five of them, were extracted from the Potterfield. They were sent to Sick Bay to be checked out but it was soon discovered that their quick thinking and paranoia saved themselves from being hosts for the alien creatures.
Enough research found a small forest moon not far from the current location of the two ships. The course was remotely laid in and the floating bio-dome was sent on her way.
Richards was dead and would need to be afforded proper respect and handling. Osten and the CMO could be saved but they would have a long road of recovery ahead of them, and it would require killing the parasite within them through a combination of cold and anti-fungal medication.
