Mara made her way to the sickbay, a sort of confident stride to her. Her red hair had been tied up in a neat bun, she made sure to pat down her uniform to avoid looking scruffier than usual. Cadet Mara Oxton walked into the sickbay and spoke “I was asked to come here for my boarding medical examination?”~ Cadet Mara Oxton {Engineer}

At the sound of Oxton’s voice, a tall Trill looked up from her work at a station near the door. A welcoming smile spread across the woman’s face as she walked a few steps closer and said, “Welcome on the Challenger! I’m Ensign Yaba Priel, one of the medical technicians on board. I hope you had a safe trip here? What is your name?”~NE Priel, medical technician
With a smile on her face she nodded,
“Yes, the trip was quite interesting”
She paused for a moment, then answered
“Mara Oxton ma’am”
Mara looked around the room, still quite unfamiliar with the ship and the ways of the crew, she was never quite sure on how to communicate with everyone.~ Cadet Mara Oxton {Engineer}
“No need to call me ma’am, Cadet,” NE Priel replied with a good-natured chuckle. “Why don’t you have a seat on one of the biobeds while I fetch one of the doctors to take care of your medical evaluation? Or do you have any questions beforehand?”

She shook her head and sat down on a biobed,
“No questions I can think of!”
She was a short-ish woman with hair that looked like fire and a sunset mixed together, and eyes which looked oddly like a forest. The scar just above her eye which went through her eyebrow let the beauty of her countenance down a little, though the story of the scar was sentimental to her, and so it didn’t bother her that it was there. Instead, Mara looked at the scar with happiness, and just a slight bit of sadness over the sister she had left back at home.~ Cadet Mara Oxton {Engineer}
“Good,” NE Priel replied with a smile before turning on her heel. Looking around the room she assessed the situation to figure out who seemed the least busy right now. Lieutenant Tija was in her office, so she wasn’t an option and everyone else seemed equally busy. So she decided to ask Cadet Mika, who just happened to be the closest person. Approaching her, she said, “Cadet, could you take care of the boarding evaluation for Cadet Oxton?”

“Of course,” Mika replied to Ensign Priel, turning around to face Cadet Oxton. Mika had previously been rushing about the Sickbay, like every doctor seemed to be right now, and so she was already carrying a PaDD. “You can take a seat on a biobed and I’ll get you on your way, okay?” She said to the new Cadet. “I’m Cadet Mika, by the way, nice to meet you!”

Mara nodded and sat on one of the biobeds, the one closest to where Mika was standing.
“You’re a cadet too!”
It was clear that Mara was excited with Mika being another cadet, she was always open to making new friends.
“Cadet Oxton”
She smiled then extended an arm to shake Mika’s hand
“Mara Oxton!”
