The turbolift doors opened and Keval stepped onto the bridge, walking towards the bridge’s engineering station. The young Cadet Griess was in the turbolift behind Keval.

The Andorian nodded gruffly towards the command chair at the centre of the bridge, before sitting himself down in front of his station. He tapped a couple keys, bringing up the status of Challenger’s key systems.

Giving the display a once over, he turned in his chair towards his cadet standing next to him. “So, Cadet Griess,” Keval said, relaxing in his seat, his antennae curving in amusement. “You were reporting in, I believe?”

“Yes… I-I decided to go to sickbay since it was on the same deck as the hangar, but I got a little caught up there.” He looked over Keval’s shoulder trying to avoid eye contact. It was then that he spotted something on the console behind him. “I know I shouldn’t be offering advice, especially since I arrived late, but the EPS taps don’t look to be properly corrected.” He tensed a little. “Perhaps you should attempt to recalibrate the taps by pulsing extra plasma through the system. If my research on this ship is correct, it’ll correct itself to optimal levels.”
