Korczak smiled slightly and said “Typically, I ask the questions in here, Cadet. But we can start with the simple. How was your journey to the ship?” he asked, his accent lending a strange but not unpleasant cadence to the syllables of the words he spoke.

Korczak, CNS

“It was enjoyable, I was able to join my nephew in his trial of courage during my two week leave of absence before assignment here. My brother raised a fine boy, he will become a great warrior.”

K’sangs posture relaxed slightly as he gave Korczak his undivided attention, “For the actual journey there isn’t much to tell, as expected the crew had mixed responses to being assigned to delivering a Klingon to Star Fleet.” he said with a sigh, “But there is a difference between following tradition and clinging to old ways that no longer have a place in our culture.”
-K’sang, Cadet

“True enough, I suppose. So what path, exactly, brought you here? You are certainly not the first of your kind in Star Feet, but it is a rare enough occasion to be noteworthy.”

Korczak, CNS

“Someone saw something different and decided it was worth the effort.” he said, Looking forward he considered the events that lead up to this point. “I’ve always been an outsider, a … loser if you will. It’s was out of resentment that I discovered science in the first place, as I grew so did my interest in understanding how existance works in general. I didn’t have access to proper lessions for many years, instead I had to take oppertunity when it presented itself. Wanna study animal anatormy? Go to the butcher and so on.”
K’sang looked back to Korczak once more, “It wasnt until I was old enough to consider challenging others (Teenager 19’ish) that I really had the opertunity to recieve a more comprehensive education. Long story short, in exchange for the kind of education I recieved I’ve got a big debt to repay.”
-K’sang, Scientist Cadet

“And exactly how big is this debt? And what form doesn’t take?” Korczak asked, no judgment on his voice.

Korczak, CNS

“It’s not like that as per say, its a matter of Honor. You don’t teach a boy to hunt and wish to see them become a poacher when they become a man, my debt is to use the tools that were passed onto me to make something better for whomever replaces me when I have joined the Black Fleet.”
K’sang, Science Cadet

Koczak’s head tilted slightly to the side. “Black Fleet. I see. And how do you know that you will be assigned there, Cadet? Assignments are not typically decided until after your Cadet cruise… and then it is determined what ship and fleet best suit a potential candidate based on your performance here.”

Korczak, CNS

“I… don’t think you understand.” K’sang raised an eyebrow, “When I have died might be a better comparison. “
