Scans showed that the station was powered down. A few moments spent following the power lines showed that they all went into door number 2. Once there it would be a trivial matter of starting the systems up in the correct, standard, order to prevent overloading. The panels were even clearly labeled: Habitat, Communications, Mining Operations, Emergency systems.

Keval followed the power lines to Door 2. Walking into the room, he scanned with his tricorder to make sure there was nothing out of ordinary, and then turned to the cadets with him. “Douglas, start up the systems. There doesn’t appear anything non-standard here, so start them up one-at-a-time in the order they are displayed, which is Federation standard.”

“Greiss,” Keval said, turning to the other cadet. “Monitor for power fluctuations with your tricorder. If anything starts to spike, call out and we can stop.”

-Lt. Keval Vras, CE

Griess flipped open his tricorder and began inspecting power flow. “I’m all set up. Just give Douglas the word.”

~ Cadet Winston Griess, Engineer

Douglas walks over to the first system and began to spool up the first system carefully to not damage anything. “Anything?”

(Cadet. Douglas. Science)

Griess stared intently at the fluctuations. “Habitat power systems are going steady.... Nothing irregular on my end, you should be able to proceed as normal.” Or at least he hoped…

~ Cadet Winston Griess, Engineer.

As the cadets continued to power up the systems, Keval pulled out his tricorder again and started scanning the rest of the area. The last thing he wanted was any surprises to come up while they were focused on the immediate problem.

(OOC: We should probably be okay with restoring all the systems in a single post. I’m sure the GM will come up with an appropriate form of punishment if it turns out something went wrong… :P)

(OOC: I am really good at coming up with punishments)

The scans showed that nothing went wrong. The systems started up as smoothly as possible, only a couple of different spikes attributed to legacy systems starting up, but otherwise it started up just fine, a warm buzz filling the air.

If the engineering team tried to connect with Challenger now, the signal would be crisp and clear as a bell.

Keval nodded to himself as power was restored. “Okay, now we can actually find out what is going on here,” he said.

“Douglas, pull up the system logs and see there is any information of what happened before we got here. Griess, check out the current systems and let me know if there’s anything unusual.”

“Aye.” Douglas started to open the system logs, peering thoroughly yhrough at the screen.

Meanwhile, the Andorian activated the communications system. =^= Vras to Challenger. We have restored power and activated the station’s communication system. You should be hearing us properly now. We can report, well, that there are no updates from the other teams yet. =^=
