Aili turned to Tandra, inadvertently showing off her light blush which well matched her red hair. Rather than giving a verbal welcome, she continued her wordlessness and simply smiled warmly in a manner that said: “Hi! Sorry about that. I’m so happy to see you!” After reaching for a chip and making sure it was well smothered in the spicy sauce she held it up near Tandra’s mouth, her eyebrows raised themselves expectantly.

Kyle smirked, “Would you care to accompany me to Holodeck Two? You seem like you might be a man with some musical talents.”

Tandra smiled. At last, alone. It was the first time in a while. Taking the chip from Aili, Tandra placed her own hand over Aili’s. “Finally, right?” she said, softly. “Feels like it’s been longer than it has, honestly.”

Aili hummed slightly in an involuntarily response to the warm embrace of Tandra’s digits on her own. Consciously, on the other hand, she was very aware that she was sitting waving a sauce coated chip near her girlfriend’s face. With every passing second, it threatened to break in half and fall onto the floor or one of their laps in a messy disaster. Wait… Your girlfriend’s face? Your girlfriend?!?!

Mika was unaware of Aili’s internal freakout over the word ‘girlfriend’. She was too busy nabbing another chip. “So. How was your day?” She asked, seeming genuinely interested in the answer.

“Pretty, pretty good actually!” Aili burst out before hushing her volume. “Ensign Seezra asked me for relationship advice while I was manually adjusting a delicate sensor which was… interesting.” The woman bit her lips firmly in an obvious attempt to suppress amusement emerging in retrospect.

Mika grinned. “And did you tell her that crewmate romance is a baaaaad ideeeaaaa?” She asked, stretching out the words. Her tone and giant grin said she was absolutely joking, as she looked at Aili.

“Naturally”, Aili giggled. “So irresponsible. Just imagine that among command staff. Imagine how it could effect judgement?!” Her giggles continued but became slightly muted as she realised her joke had become somewhat serious in her own mind.
Aili cleared her throat. “You wanting anything to eat?”
