T’Mor had just ungracefully exited the turbo lift onto deck 9. Over one shoulder carrying an unwieldy 50 lb bag of soil, and in the other arm several long and delicate tube-shaped UVB lights. With the most dignity she could muster T’Mor wobbled down the hall. Ideally she could to get this errand over with quickly, hopefully without disturbing anyone. On the way she figuratively, and thank goodness not literally, ran into the other two Cadets.

Kyle had to catch himself on a deck panel to stop himself from landing on his rear end. After hoisting himself back to his feet, he smiled, “On a bit of a late one Mr. Riley,” he teased, then he noticed T’Mor, “Oh, ey up, you must be T’Mor? Matt’s told me a lot about you.”

-Cadet Kyle Anders: Security-

Riley opened his mouth to answer but was interrupted as Kyle greeted the Vulcan science cadet. Matthew looked behind himself, seeing her overburdened journey down the hallway. “Woah,” he said, approaching her, tucking the PADD under one arm. “Let me help with that.”

“This,” he nodded toward the security cadet, “is Kyle… Anders, right?” he asked, glancing back again. “He’s a security cadet.” He looked back to T’Mor. “And ‘a lot’ is an exaggeration,” he continued, rolling his eyes. “I just mentioned we’d met in the lab.”

“Looks like we’re all having a late night.” He extended his hands and asked “Now, what do you want me to carry? And where are we going?”

Kyle nodded at Riley’s assumption and helped him pick up some of the things that Cadet T’Mor had dropped, “If you’re heading back to your quarters, I can follow you for a while, I need to patrol that area tonight.”

-Cadet Kyle Anders: Security-

T’Mor stood quietly for a moment, as what was a small night-time errand had now suddenly involved two others. It was not in her custom to inconvenience others to ask for help, but since they had offered she was admittedly grateful.

“Yes, Cadet Riley,” she said, “It would be useful if you were to carry these.” T’Mor indicated the bulbs tucked it her arm. Cautiously she loosed her grip to allow him the take them. While she recognized Cadet Riley from the lab, it took a moment for her to remember where she had seen Anders.

“We’ve met before,” she said, turning toward Cadet Anders, “I believe you were the security officer assign to investigate the-” she stopped herself, “Perhaps we should not discuss it out in the open. I was indeed heading to my quarters, I needed a few supplies for an experiment I am running.”

Cadet T’Mor, Science Department

“Please,” Riley replied, adjusting his grip on the long bulbs, trying to balance both their length and their weight, “call me Matthew.” He eyed the bag of soil, but realized her Vulcan physiology was probably more than adequate for that task.

“So UV lights and soil… what will you be growing?”
