Lieutenant Junior Grade Kyle Anders strode into the shuttlebay to get a good luck at the Security cadets he’d be interviewing later that day. He smiled warmly at the Captain and XO and said, “Captain, Commander, hope you don’t mind me getting a look at the new blood.” He turned to the new counselor after noticing she was standing there, “And you must be Commander Lofton,” he smiled and extended his hand, “Kyle Anders, Chief of Security, at your service.”

OOC: PS. I know we’re on the Bridge, I was just testing you...... honest…
-Kieron-
OOC: A likely story Kieron lol
IC: Vanessa cocked her head at Commander Holmman and raised an eyebrow, a look that clearly had “I can’t wait to hear about this” written all over it. “I am ready to assume that position if necessary, Captain,” she replied, turning her attention back the commanding officer. “Hopefully that will not be necessary. I expect, then, that I will be able to complete my initial evaluations of the cadets within three days, and will have those turned in to the Commander promptly.” She nodded toward Holmman. Her reading of the captain’s profile let her know that she was a woman who valued efficiency and organization.
Emmy seemed to be blissfully unaware of the expression on the counselor’s face as she offered a simple, approving nod in response. She noted that Lofton had clearly expressed what she could expect of her as well as set her own boundary for when she could be expected to complete the tasks.
Eric just shrugged his shoulders at the exchange. He knew his Captain well, but still like to have play against her as XO. “Oh, that will leave plenty of time to learn the ship gossip, Counselor,” Eric said, before changing gears with the arrival of the new COS.
She watched the young gold-clad lieutenant cross the bridge toward them and introduce himself. She smiled broadly, the corners of her eyes crinkling, and took his hand when offered, nodding to him. “A pleasure, Lieutenant,” she replied. “Congratulations on your promotion, as well. Securing the well-being of our cadets is an important job.” Her blue eyes appraised him. “I look forward to your success.”
His profile was promising, and she felt sure he’d do well at the position.
Lt. Cmdr. Lofton - CNS
“I’ll do my best ma’am,” Anders winked, “If you’ll excuse me ladies and gentlemen, I better head on patrol.”
-Lieutenant Junior Grade Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-
Emmy nodded at the familiar face of the former cadet. “You’re dismissed, Lieutenant,” she verbalized as the senior officer in the small group.
Davis, CO
“Lieutenant,” Eric said simply in farewell, smiling with a nod to acknowledge Anders’ new rank.
(OOC: Sorry for the short post - just trying to get caught up from my LOA).
