Turning Sapeth headed for the warp core. “Cadet Torres. Please provide an update on your repairs.”

Lt Sapeth - CE

Torres looked down at his pad “Well it looks like the last repair was just finished”

Cadet Torres

OOC: Try not to skip a ahead too much without input from the GM. It can upset some GM’s, and that brings bad consequences.....
IC:
“That’s quite impressive Cadet. Didn’t you just recently say that we had several hours of repairs left to go?” Sapeth asked raising an eyebrow.

Lt Sapeth - CE

Ooc: Oh my bad I’ll try to avoid that from now on

Torres looked down at the padd
“Well yes I don’t think it’s humanly possible to Finnish the repairs that quicky, something must be wrong with my padd I’ll run a diagnostic on my padd as soon as possible.”

Torres walked over to a console and checked repair statuses “Ok sir it seems like we’ve finished about 15% of the repairs sorry for the mis understanding ” Torres let out a awkward chuckle

Cadet Torres

NE Michellson looked up to Sapeth with an arched eyebrow then back to the cadet then back to Sapeth and slowly shook his head. “The teams are good. they aren’t that good sir. Cadet Torres missed the decimal place.” He pointed down to the screen. “One point five percent complete, sir. Though in their defense it has been what? 10, 15 minutes at most from impact?”

The NE looked back down at the screen and continued aiding the repair team working on shields, keeping his mouth shut for now.

GM Wombat

Dael glanced over at his Chief and Torres discussing the repair times on the warp core, his Betazoid heritage allowing him to feel some of the awkwardness that his fellow cadet felt and he sympathized. But his attentions at the moment were elsewhere as NE Michellson caught his eye.

“NE Michellson, any word on the specific damage reports on the shields? I’ve gotten some estimates so far but nothing concrete. I’ll go down to Deck 11 myself if need be and put eyes on our main deflector emitter, but I need to know if it’s that or we’re looking at one of graviton field generators. The Captain’s going to want more than vague estimates pretty soon and I’d like to stay on her good side.” Dael walked over from his station as he talked to NE Michellson and joined him at the readout the man had been looking at, repair kit in hand in case he needed to join the repair efforts across the ship.

Cadet Stadi, Engineering

“Thank you Mr. Michellson. Cadet, I appreciate the enthusiasm but it is important to take your time and double check your work. While it is important to get the work completed quickly, it is even more important to make sure that it is completed correctly. Understood?”

Torres was still new, so Sapeth realized that this was still an important teaching moment. This time.

Lt Sapeth - CE

The engineer pointed at the various sections on his panel, “Main array is about 30 minutes out. Looks like someone is going to have to go out there and manually unjamb something. As for the secondary arrays looks like the first one will be back in about five minutes and the second 10 to fifteen minutes after that. We should have full shields within the hour.”

His hand made a swiping motion, “Graviton field generation… is tricky. It looks like we are two to five hours out now as there was massive damage to those power relays. Some cadets are on their way to sick bay now from the burns. We can redeploy engineers to these relays but that would slow down the SIF repairs on decks 12 and 14.” He reached up and scratched his head, “4 to 6 hours, best case. Realistically we’re here for half a day.”

GM Wombat.

“Thank you Ensign. Cadet Stadi, please concentrate on getting our shields back online. I shall let the Captain know of our current status.”

“Understood sir.” Dael replied, turning back to NE Michellson. “Let’s focus on getting the shields back up to full power, then worry about the graviton field. With any luck we won’t have to worry about shields holding at full once we get them there, but those power relays will need work immediately if we do. Plus I’d rather have the teams working on those structural integrity fields anyway…” He looked over at the team that Lt. Sapeth had given him. “Okay, NE Larsson and NE Rogers to the secondary arrays, I’ll go take a look at what’s jamming up the main array. Coordinate your efforts through this station with NE Mitchellson, let’s try and take care of this as much as we can and show the Chief he can take care of more important things while we’re on the job.” Dael grabbed his toolkit and looked back over the team. Just breathe Dael, they want to do a good as much job as you do. “Alright, when you’re done, go help with the graviton relays if the SIF repairs aren’t done… Aaaaaand break.”

As the NE’s began to go to their appointed stations, Dael breathed a sigh of relief at not being the center of attention anymore. Just have to focus on repairs now he thought, adjusting the grip on his toolkit handle as he worked out his nerves.

=^= Sapeth to the bridge. Repairs are underway. Current estimate we will have have the secondary shield arrays back online in about 15-20 minutes, and full shields restored in approximately one hour. Warp drive will be available in approximately 2 hours. However, we also took damage to the graviton field generators and the structural integrity field generators on decks 12 and 14. Right now we are looking at approximately 12 hours before those systems are functional again. =^=

Lt Sapeth - CE

=/\= Thank you for the update, Lieutenant. Please send Cadet Stadi to the Bridge. We require a liaison with engineering to ensure that we can safely attempt to communicate with venting warp plasma and his telepathy may come in handy. =/\=

Dael was nearly out of the Engineering deck and he heard the Captain’s response. He stopped in his tracks. His stomach dropped. Oh boy…ooooooh boy. Requested to the bridge? Me? On the bridge? In the middle of things? He suddenly had the wish to be down in waste extraction, changing a hard to reach relay covered in unprocessed junk rather than be right where he was. He turned and slowly made his way back to where his Chief was standing. “On my way to the bridge then sir?” he asked, setting down his toolkit, trying to absorb what calming mental states might be nearby into his own head. Just focus on the problem, something about venting warp plasma, that could be interesting. Never mind needing your telepathy, or being surrounded by the senior staff in the middle of it all, the fact that you might be essential to this.... Warp plasma, focus on warp plasma…
