Torres looked at the pannel

“Have you tried recalibrating the conduit?” Torres looked at NE Michellson

“If that doesn’t work il go over and help replace it”

-Cadet Torres

Michellson looked up at Torres and nodded, “Yes. I can’t do it from here. Someone is going to need to go down there and make the adjustment manually to bypass that valve.” He sighed, “I can go down there or you can. One of us is going to need to go there.”

OOC: Don’t forget to add all your punctuation to your posts. It just helps when other people are reading.

IC:
As Torres worked with Michellson on the shields, Sapeth was over at the warp core realigning the injection manifold. “What is status on replacing the cracked couplers?”

Having finished his latest tweak of the alignment on the manifold, he referenced his tricorder to see how much further he still had to go.

Lt Sapeth - CE

Woods looked up from her station and nodded to Sapeth, “Couplers are being replaced. 10 to 15 minutes away from completion the team is reporting.” The Tricorder reported back that the total repairs would be completed within the hour.

GM Wombat

“Thank you Ensign,” Sapeth said as he stood up from where he was working. “Once the couplers have been replaced please inform me so we can do a full system test on the warp engines.”

Closing his tricorder, Sapeth walked over to where Torres and Michellson were working on the shields.

Torres sighed, “Well alright, I’ll go bypass the valve.”

He walked over to the valve and said to the computer “Computer Turn Valve”

Torres waited for the valve to turn
-Cadet Torres

“Cadet, Ensign. How are the repairs proceeding on the shields?”

Lt Sapeth - CE

=^= Cadet Stadi to Lt. Sapeth, the Captain was looking for options to mimic the colorful display that this… vessel is emitting as a possible way of communication. I suggested using the ramscoops to take in the surrounding hydrogen as they’re intended but rather than send it to the engines to be filtered for fuel, we flush it back out with some of our spent plasma to make that colorful display. But I’m not sure how the situation is progressing down in Engineering, if you think the systems can handle it with our current repairs going on, the Captain is on board.=^=

OOC: Torres, also feel free to give more information on the actions you are taking. Think of the stories/books you’ve read and how those are written. While quick posts are great, we also want to make sure that we give enough details about what you are doing/thinking as you progress. Take a look at my response below.

IC:
=^= Definitely an interesting concept Cadet,=^= Sapeth said as he took a step back from Torres and Michellson. =^= Repairs to the warp core should be complete in approximately 8 minutes, with the all of the repairs being completed within the hour. I recommend that the shields around the nacelles are reinforced, in case of inadvertent detonation of the expelled hydrogen. I’m currently waiting for an update on the shield repairs and when they will be complete. =^=

With a meaningful look, Sapeth looked over at Torres and Michellson. The plan sounded reasonable, however he did not want to put the Challenger in any further risk due to an unforeseen reaction. There was enough that needed to be done on the ship, without adding any further damage to the list.

Lt Sapeth - CE

=^=Understood sir, I will start getting the system prepped and redirect some of the shields power around the nacelles. If I recall correctly, some of the forward field generators were damaged but I can compensate for that with the undamaged ones near the nacelles. Once the warp core is in full working order we shouldn’t have any problems flushing the ramscoops and I’ll have them ready and waiting once that’s the case.=^=

“I am sure you don’t want to accept soon as an answer do you, Chief?” Michellson said before looking down at the screen. “The repair teams are powering on the test cycle now. I would say we should be operational in the next ten minutes or less.” He looks over to Torres, prompting him, “Wouldn’t you say, Cadet?”

GM Wombat

Sapeth merely raised an eyebrow in response to Michellson. It was a response he might be willing to deal with from a 1st year Cadet. But from one of his officers or enlisted members, he would expect more specificity.

Torres looked down at the screen and to his surprise Michelson was right
“Yes he is right, after we get the power up we’ll be operational “

-cadet Torres

“Thank you Ensign, Cadet. Please inform me once repairs are complete so the Bridge can proceed with their plan.”

Turning Sapeth headed back to the master display board. While these were critical repairs, there were still a number of repairs across the ship that needed to be completed. As he looked at the display, he took inventory of what was still remaining on the repair list.
