After a good deal of work, the holodeck had been transformed into an old Earth carnival, complete with sugary snacks and thrill-inducing roller coasters and other rides. Emmy stood in the middle of a small stage that would have ordinarily been used for a musical performance, but looked slightly out of place with an official looking podium adorned with Starfleet’s insignia and colors. It was time to graduate the next class of cadets and she hoped that the environment would add something a little different this time than the standard snacks and beverages.

The duty roster had been set to ensure that the ship was minimally crewed so that almost everyone could attend the event.

Sat in the ships lounge with a half-finished cup of mocha and a PaDD detailing research on micropathology, T’Saie was curious as to the nature of the call to the holodeck. With some small degree of effort she got up to return her cup to the replicator before making her way to deck 5 along with a small number of other staff.

Once she entered, herself and the other staff dispersed throughout the holodeck. She couldn’t help but notice the decorations and the rides, from her knowledge they were some form of ornamentation from Earth however that was as far she was willing to hazard a guess. As they waited for more people to turn up, one table displaying all sorts of foods caught her eye. As far as she could tell most of them were earth foods however some were rather colourful and intriguing she thought as she stood there stoically, seeing what was on offer..

Lieutenant Junior Grade Kyle Anders had been on his evening patrol when the call came through to report to the Holodeck, so he straightened his uniform and caught the next turbolift down. When the doors to Holodeck Two parted, he marvelled at the sight of the old 20th century carnival. Once he caught sight of his CO, he made his way over, “Good evening Captain,” he said as he climbed onto the stage next to his CO.
