“Good to hear.” Carmen finished her scan quickly enough, tapping a few buttons on the tricorder and then placing it down. “Minus a strained muscle in your arm, which you are by no doubt aware of, you’re totally healthy.” She tapped a couple things into the PADD before turning back to her patient. “Just a few basic questions to get out of the way, and then you’re good to go.” She tapped her PADD yet again, before turning and sitting down on a stool next to the bio-bed. “Do you have any past medical conditions I should be aware of?”

-Cadet Parker-Cawlyns

“That’s excellent,” M’rahja answered. It was always nice to get the doctor’s prognosis, even an expected one. Upon prompted about previous medical conditions, M’rahja hesitated for a single moment. “Childhood malnutrition,” She answered, while trying to maintain her earlier cheer. Though the event was long past, and M’rahja had come to terms with it, part of her could never quite remain detached from that period in her life. “Several weeks of limited food and water while I was the age of five.”

Carmen felt the mood darken for a moment before the cadet answered. Although the event would be traumatic, it was unlikely that she had any physical long-term effects. She nodded gently, and typed Ko’s response into her PADD. She was curious to what had happened, but withheld herself from asking. It wasn’t her place.
She looked up again at her patient. “Have you had any problems sleeping, either falling asleep, staying asleep, waking up, or staying awake?”

-Cadet Parker-Cawlyns

“No problems, but sometimes my natural sleep rhythm doesn’t quite match up with the ship’s and I need more sleep than allotted.” It was a feline issue, M’rahja was certain. She’s never had any problems with anything Cadet Parker-Cawlyns said, it was only that M’rahja needed a little more sleep than the rest of her peers. Her usual answer was to use of some of her personal time for that precious sleep and thus it never interfered with her professional work.
