“=/\= Anders to Sickbay, we’ve got wounded on Holodeck One, stand by for emergency transport. =/\=”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

Henry took a step back. “You’re gonna be okay, Cadet. Just stay calm.” I swear I’ve seen someone that looks just like her somewhere he thought. Maybe in one of those old shows they taught about in History of Media… The word Buttercup came to mind, but he couldn’t for the life of him say why.

“Wait, this is strange,” Benem furrowed his brow as he looked at his tricorder. “Before there ere nine, now there are only five,” he explained the data out loud, for the benefit of his companions. “From what I understand about tribbles they multiply, not reduce in population. Unless the other four are elsewhere on Deck Five…”

He didn’t get a chance to finished–just then something dropped onto his head. Immediately he tried to shake it off, “Ugh! What is it? Is it a spider!?”

Suddenly, an idea flashed across Kyle’s mind, “Henry, I’ve got an idea to get rid of the tribbles, remember the training programme? More specifically, the transport com badges?”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Outgoing Chief of Security-

Cadet Rodier snapped out of his musings, and turning to the Lieutenant said “I think I see where you’re going with this, sir.” He edged over to the nearby tribble, waiting for Anders to establish the correct com badge mode.

“Computer, initiate phase two of Security Endurance Programme Charlie 65.” The hologrid shifted around the three officers, to be replaced by a holographic mock-up of the Challenger’s armory. Kyle grabbed two cases of the specially modified com badges from a rack and tossed them to the cadets, “Use these,” he was having to shout over the chorus of Tribble purring. “Cadet d’Qorvos, follow Cadet Rodier’s lead.” The security chief began tagging Tribbles to be transported into escape pods, “=/\= Anders to Bridge, we have a problem down here, but I have a plan, stand by. =/\=”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

Henry looked at the Tribble in front of his feet and, tapping a modified badge a few times, placed it on the beast. “Ben, you have the tricorder, you take the lead.” he said, turning to his fellow Cadet. With some amusement, he reached out with one hand and removed the object from atop the panicking d’Qorvos’s head, marking it for transport in the progress.

Ben smiled sheepishly when Rody took the tibble off of his head and caught the modified comm badges that the Chief tossed at him, taking a quick moment to examine one. He wasn’t completely sure of what the Lieutenant’s idea was, but it was clear that he meant to transport the tribbles to somewhere they’d be better able to deal with them. At the rate they reproduced would it be enough? He placed one and linked it to his tricorder, which should still be directly linked to the Tactical and Security station on the bridge.

“If we widen the confinement beam of each transporter badge, we should be able to transport a few at a time,” he mentioned. “Also, I think I can initiate the transport from here.”

-Cadet d’Qorvos [ Security ]

“Do you think you can initiate a site-to-site from here to the Bridge, I want to monitor the sensors to see if it spread.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

=/\= “Acknowledged, transport when ready.” =/\= (Crosspost from Sickbay)

“Yes, I think so, just one moment, L-T,” Benem said as his fingers quickly tapped at his tricorder, giving some thought to what he had to do. It would be a total of three transports; one to sickbay, one to the bridge, and lastly one to wherever Lieutenant Anders wanted Benem to transport the tribbles to. He decided to leave that one for last, considering that he would have to widen the confinement beam on all the commbadges to make sure they got all the tribbles, and that way he didn’t accidentally transport someone’s legs off, which meant that he and Rodier would have to be careful where they were standing when Ben initiated that last transport.

“Alright, first transport coming up,” Benem said and effectuated the command. WantsToGolf started to dissipate into a blue, humming mass of photons before reappearing again on the floor in the middle of sickbay. =^=Special delivery, sickbay.=^=

“Alright, you’re up next,” Benem continued, modifying the settings–changing the who and where to. “Rody, make sure to spread those out in a circle around us as much as you can. Ready, L-T? Transporting in three, two, one… energizing.” The same blue hum that had enveloped WantsToGolf now began to envelop Anders, transporting the Chief of Security from the holodeck to the bridge.

Once he was done Benem looked at Rodier. “It’s just us, now,” he said and started working on his tricorder again. A wry grin grew on his lips, “Stand by me, Rody, I don’t want to accidentally transport your legs off.”

OOC: I’m going to work within this, but there will be some aspects of your posts that won’t quite make sense.

IC:

The computer beeped with perhaps a slight hint of anger at the Chief of Security as he requested the program be loaded.

=/\= Unable to begin program. =/\=

It did seem that the transporters might be working anyway, however, except that WantsToGolf was still in the transporter room and now Anders was in Sickbay…

OOC: Just for future reference, the COS can activate security alerts, correct? As in, yellow/red alerts? Memory Alpha says yes but I want to be sure.

IC:
Henry frowned. “=^= Rodier to Engineering, we have a bit of a situation here. Tribbles on Deck 5, Holodeck 1 not working, transporters semi-functional but we could use some assistance getting out of here. =^=” He looked down at his empty phaser holster in frustration. “Hey, Ben, at least Tribbles don’t seem too bad. They’re kinda cute, actually.”

OOC: As far as I know, yes. :)
