OOC: One small thing to remember, try not to RP other characters actions. Excellent post though!

IC:
T’Saie gazed at Cadet Williams, raising an eyebrow. Shouldn’t a cadet know how a Biobed works by now she wondered, genuinely curious. “No..” she spoke, giving out a small sigh. “The biobed can scan through items of clothing,” she responded politely, yet somewhat coldly.

As the cadet laid on the Biobed, she began tapping away at the console attached to the bed, performing a full scan. This only took about ten seconds, “You may sit up now.” she instructed, transferring information from the bed into Williams’ medical record.

OOC : Okay, I’ll try to remember it. Thanks!

IC :
Aaron felt kind of ashamed. Why did I ask? Of course, it’s a Biobed, why didn’t I noticed? Damn!

He set up, looking at the Lieutenant transferring his data. Focus, he thought for himself. This is where I have to shine. If I don’t make a good impression, I won’t be able to prove that I’m a good doctor.

After he steps down from the bed, he put himself at ease, almost militarily. He put aside his thoughts, and prepared himself, ready to answer any question, and remembering all the lessons he learns on Earth. His expression changed, as he was determined to be accepted as a medic on Starfleet.
Ready or not, here it comes!

PaDD in hand T’Saie gestured for the cadet to join her in her office, “This isn’t a test, cadet. It’s a placement.” she stated unemotionally. As she moved towards the office, T’Saie pondered whether an earlier visit to the counsellor may benefit the cadet considerably as she wasn’t particularly apt at dealing with the unpredictable emotions of the other races.

As she arrived in her office, she took a seat without taking her eyes off the PaDD, quickly mulling over the details of the scan to ensure everything was in-order..

Aaron followed his chief to her office. When they arrived, the woman sat on a chair and checked her pad. Aaron stayed up, at ease, and looked around the office.

As intended for a medical office, the walls were all white and smooth. The chair and the desk were also white and simple. A screen was displayed, with a plan of the ship and some logs posted by the bridge.
He waits so for the doctor to finish her business, and stands still.

T’Saie looked up from her seat, “Please, be seated.” she requested. “Your physical is complete, all is in order.” she paused for a second to let the cadet sit down.

Aaron seated. “Thanks, Ma’am.” Should I introduce my reporting in?, he thought. “I…em, I’m reporting for duty, Ma’am !” Maybe the “Ma’am” was a little too much.

T’Saie let out a small sigh, glaring at the cadet as she tapped the PaDD. “You must learn to relax, would you care for a beverage?” she offered, still aiming to help the cadet feel more at-home on Challenger.

Aaron was a little bit surprised. Well, if it can help me destress a bit. But don’t make it sound like an order “If you insist Ma’am, I’d like to take a coffee, please”, he said, with a smile.

It was his favorite drink, almost as good as water according to him. He actually gets used to it while he was doing his medical license before he joined Starfleet.

T’Saie rose from her seat, meandering towards the replicator, “Coffee, Plomeek tea.” she requested, eyeing them both as they appeared. Both beverages in hand she span around towards the cadet, placing the coffee in-front of him and her tea on her part of the desk.

As she took a seat she began talking, “So, Cadet Williams. Why do you wish to become a doctor?”

● T’Saie - Lt. Jr. Grade, Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Practitioner. ●
Aaron took the coffee, and looked at it, wondering about his answer. His cup was heating his hands, and a little smoke was coming out of it. My wish as a doctor ?, he thought. I guess it’s to help people, but not only…

After a brief moment, he spoke: “I think I want to be a doctor to help people, of course. Plus, my will to discover new life forms and new worlds in space is really exciting to me. I guess I’m following my parent’s steps in all points. But…to be honest, I think I haven’t really chosen my path. Not that I don’t like it, I love to be a doctor at Starfleet! But I haven’t really had ideas about my future when I was young.”

He then sipped his coffee a bit, and continue: “Still, I think that it is the will to help and assist that brought me here. And it will last with me all my life, I can guarantee it.”

“Are you positive?” T’Saie quizzed, growing slightly more baffled, “You’ve come this far, it sounds like you’re unsure about your career choice?” she pressed, wondering his nerves had scrambled his words or if he really wished to be a doctor.

● T’Saie - Lt. Jr. Grade, Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Practitioner. ●
Aaron drank a bit of his coffee before responding: “It’s because I never had any goal in my life. And with my curiosity, I was always scared to miss the job or the hobbies that will fully suit me. And when my father died…” His voice faded down.

He remembered the day of his dead, in this hospital. He was only eight, and it was the night his father came back from his exploration mission. His mother woke him in the middle of the night: “Come, sweetie.”
They were going to the hospital, where his mother was working. They walked for a bit inside the corridor hospital, and enter a chamber. A group of people in uniforms was here, and talked to her mother at the moment she enters the room. They were talking quietly, and Aaron could hear her mother crying. A man was in the bed, eyes closed, with pale skin.
It was his father.

A long silence followed Aaron’s last sentence. They were no sound, only the classical humming sound of the ship.
“Sorry”, he said after a moment. He looked a bit melancholic. “I just wanted to say that my father’s death was…terrifying, and reinforce that fear I had. But now, I’m sure I’ll be able to work plenty as a Starfleet officer. To help others, and to save the one in need.”

T’Saie couldn’t relate, Vulcan parents didn’t attach themselves to their children the same way human parents did. This, however, didn’t mean that she was apathetic, she empathised as much as she could, “I see..” she paused, allowing a short moment before speaking again, “This.. experience fuels your desire to help people?” she asked calmly now, easing her Vulcan stoicism and forwardness slightly.

OOC: Sorry, I forget to sign my previous post (my bad)
IC: Aaron looked at the Lieutenant. She was a bit less frosty with him, after mentioning his father’s death. Guess all Vulcan aren’t cold-hearted, uh ?, he thought with a smile.

He responded to her: “Yes, it was. Not at the moment, but this moment helped me to understand things that were beyond understanding for me, like death and pain. Since that day, I had the will to help people, both physically and mentally.”
