OOC: I’m commenting on this one because it’s listed before the duplicate for me

“=^= Rodier to Anders, we’re still here. Something must be up with the transporters. =^=”

~ (current) Cadet Henry Rodier - Security (crosspost)

”=/\= Keep at it lad, Anders out. =/\=” Anders closed the channel and stood, turning to T’Saie, “Doctor, do you mind if I access the tactical console from your office? It might give my men the chance they need to get off the Holodeck.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-
Aaron was watching the scene all along, next to the biobed. What should I do ?, he thought. They were supposed to receive a wounded person, but instead, it was Lieutenant Anders, along with tribbles.

He then saw Ven, one of the medical cadets, wondering about the Tribble. He put on some gloves, in case the Tribble was contagious in some ways and approached the Lieutenant with a smile, a bit amused about the situation. He then took the tribbles from the biobed: “With your permission, Lieutenant”.

Aaron began to hear and feel through his gloves the Tribble’s purring, and began to felt relax, which make him remembered his xenomedicine lesson. Thinking about Ven’s lack of knowledge about them, he then goes to the Bajoran, faced the cadet, and began to say to her: “Basically, Tribbles are from Geminorum IV. They are little fluffy creatures that have the particularity to reproduce themselves really fast.”

He then showed her the little creature: ” A tribble can produce approximately ten Tribbles in 12 hours, which represent an all generation. It’s made possible by the fact that tribbles are born already pregnant, which is pretty interesting, I think. They even have a relaxing effect on Humans that hold them, like right now on me. But I don’t know about Bajoran.” He then hands the Tribble to her:”Why don’t you give it a try? But put on some gloves before, we never know.”

T’Saie took a moment to look up from the nurses station in response to the Security Chief, “Be my guest.” she responded firmly before turning to her cadets, “Perhaps you might consider placing it in an isolation field to monitor any further reproduction.”

● T’Saie - Lt. Jr. Grade, Chief Medical Officer, Nurse Practitioner. ●

“Much obliged,” Kyle smiled, “Computer, transfer data from the tactical station on the Bridge to the CMO’s Office console, then scan for any futher signs of Tribble reproduction throughout the ship.”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

OOC: Remember, try not to assume too much about things in the GM’s control. :)

IC:

As Anders began to issue his commands to the computer, the tribble now resting in Williams’ hand began to twitch extremely rapidly. Apparently, what Williams had mistook as purring, was actually the death throws of a tribble who had not enjoyed his most recent snack.

  • GM-ish

Miya was a little taken aback by the unexpected lecture on tribbles, but she leaned in to look at the furry creature in Williams’ hand. It did seem fairly non-threatening but she had no intention of holding it, especially as she wasn’t wearing any gloves. She half-turned towards T’Saie at the lieutenant’s remark, then glanced back at her fellow cadet. “I think the isolation field would be a good idea. I’ll set one up and .... oh. Oh!” She took a step back, staring at the twitching tribble. “That doesn’t look good! Is it having a fit? Trying to throw up?”

Quickly she crossed to a console, speaking over her shoulder to Aaron. “I’ll organise the isolation field and you can put the tribble inside, then hopefully we can find out what’s wrong with it.” The creature didn’t seem to do much, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t worthy of treatment.

(OOC: just checking - would the isolation field be in a separate part of the sickbay, like in ‘Brothers’ in TNG, or could it be formed around a biobed?)

OOC: Don’t forget to sign off on these posts people! Amazing work bar that so far.

IC:

Kyle tapped his combadge, “=/\= Anders to Rodier, any luck lad? =/\=”

-Lieutenant Kyle Anders: Chief of Security-

OOC: (to GM) Okay, I’ll be more careful next time.

IC: Aaron began to feel the Tribble twitching more and more violently. “The hell ?!”, he shouted, surprised by the creature’s unexpected behavior. What’s wrong with him?, he thought. Tribbles aren’t supposed to do that!

He then reacts to Miya’s question: “I don’t know. Let’s do as the Lieutenant said.” Aaron was a bit troubled by the situation. What a day. First, we were supposed to handle a wounded cadet, and know we have to deal with a deadly-doped Tribble.

He then quickly joined Miya to the isolation field, while she was preparing it: “Tell me when you’re ready, Ven.”
