“A slight headache,” he admitted. “But that’s not unusual for me. I get them whenever I feel stressed.”

  • Cadet Noah Parata

“Chronic headaches?” she asked. “Near the front of the head, or the back closer to your neck?”

Noah rubbed the front of his head. “The front. It feels like it starts behind my eyes sometimes.” He realised he was giving too much away and shook his head. “It’s not very often at all. Very rarely. I’m fine really. Are we nearly done?”

Carmen could tell he was holding things back, just trying to get the check-in over with. “Hey, I’m your doctor. I’m here to help you,” she said, turning behind her to a cabinet set in the wall. She picked up a vial of 3% Hydrocortilene and popped it into a hypospray. “This will help, if you’d like.”

OOC: Friendly reminder to sign your posts! I know it’s super super easy to forget, I’ve often forgot mine. :D

OOC: Gah, thank you for reminding me! Got to develop that habit.

IC:
Noah relented, nodding. “Yes, please. I would appreciate it.”

He rubbed his eyes, “If I’m honest, now that I’m here. I’d like to try and figure it out.”

After Noah gave his consent, Carmen went ahead and brought the hypo up to his neck. The injection was painless and took less than a second, and Carmen expected his headache would recede within a minute or two.

“Yes, I think we should. I’d hate for you to have to deal with headaches with no explanation. You said it was caused by stress, correct?” she asked, pulling out her tri-corder and prepping it for a more in-depth scan of her patient’s brain. “How long would you say you’ve had these headaches, and how often?”
