CO's Office - Cadet Washburne Reporting for Duty

Posted April 16, 2021, 7:01 p.m. by Cadet Connor Washburne (Engineer) (Dillon T.)

Cadet Washburne made his way towards the Chief Engineer’s office, trying to remember the exact route he was supposed to take. He hadn’t had nearly enough time to memorize the layout of the ship and no amount of academy book learning prepares you for the immense size of a Starfleet vessel. Nevertheless he was visibly excited, studying the interior of the ship he would become very well acquainted with for the duration of his time aboard. Though he still may be a cadet, in his eyes, today marked the first real day of his Starfleet career.

Finally arriving at what he believed to be the correct office, he moved to knock on the door before triple checking he had the correct one. Today was a day for good first impressions and showing up at the wrong CO’s office to report in would be a rough way to start. Assuring himself he was in fact correct, he tidied his hair, checked his uniform one last time, and knocked, standing at attention while waiting for the okay to enter. He was unfamiliar with the Chief Engineer aboard the Challenger and their personality, but thought it was best to try and be the spitting image of a perfect cadet until he felt more comfortable.
