IC:
=^= Stadi to Rodier and Sickbay, looking at our layout, I’m going to have my team start retrofitting Cargo Bay’s 1 and 2 since Sickbay is on the same deck, giving easier access to the injured, and we can use the Shuttlebay as a potential overflow station. That will hopefully keep all our guests on one deck and make it easier on all our teams, unless security has any concerns with that plan=^=

-Lt. jg Dael Stadi, CE (cross-post)

=^= Rodier to Stadi and Sickbay, affirm. We’ll need some tight security in the Shuttlebay, but we can make it work. The mess is right there as well, if it’s needed. Heading down to Sickbay now. Rodier out. =^=

~ Lt. jr. gr. Henry Rodier - COS (crosspost)

She glanced at Aaron and silently mouthed, “Wow!” even as she tapped her communicator to respond.
Aaron nodded his head to Miya, raising his eyebrows as he listened to the communication.

=^= Sickbay to Stadi and Rodier - acknowledged. We’ll see you in a few minutes, Lieutenant Rodier.=^=

As the communication ended, she shook her head. “Sounds like this could be serious. I’ll inform the CMO - Aaron, could you carry on checking our supplies, please?” She pointed to the LCARS terminal she’d started to use when the Captain’s message had come through. “I’ll join you in a second.”

(OOC: thanks for the advice about crossposting! I’ll make sure I crosspost this new message too.)

[Cadet Ven Miya]
“You got it, Ven.”, said the concerned one. Approaching the terminal, he identifies himself and orders the computer to list all medical supplies aboard the ship.

I hope no one on the colony is seriously damaged, Aaron thought. This was the first he did a major operation like this one. And like all the cadets aboard, I guess.

He then waits for the computer’s response

(OOC: I think I have to wait for a GM-ish intervention, isn’t it?)

Cadet Aaron Williams

OOC: Let’s go with Lt T’Saie was reassigned unexpectedly and Cadet Miya is the acting CMO in character for right now, if you don’t mind. We’re working on getting that sorted out. :) You don’t particularly need a GM response for something like the listing of medical supplies; we can assume that, since the Challenger is an Academy ship and likely went back to staircase between missions, Starfleet would likely keep it stocked with a fairly regular set of supplies. Some assumptions, you’re allowed to make. ;)

IC:

=/\= One moment. =/\= came the terse response.

  • Davis, CO (crosspost)
OCC: Okay, then make it so.

IC: After a few seconds, the terminal blinked, and the list of furniture began to appear on the screen. Let’s see, if we have like… half a colony to treat, and like 5% of it in a critical state…Yeah, I think it will be enough. But it will be better to know the exact number of people in the colony. I’ll ask Ven.

Walking to Miya, Aaron catches his medical coat and puts it over his uniform. “Hey, Ven!”, he said. “Did the Captain defined the number of colonists?”

Cadet Aaron Williams

Miya bit her lip - she should have asked about that. “Not yet. Maybe she’ll give us that data when she replies.” If the Prophets were looking down on her, hopefully they’d ensure the Captain passed on that vital piece of information, particularly if the colonists’ arrival was imminent.

OOC: Yeah, let’s just figure the ship is fully stocked and topped off.

GM Madness

=/\= We will arrive in two days and thirteen hours, Cadet. =/\=

  • Davis, CO (crosspost)

Miya breathed a silent sigh of relief. A couple of days gave them plenty of time to find out the exact number of colonists - maybe Lieutenant Rodier would know? She could always ask the security chief when he arrived in Sickbay; he had said he was on his way, after all.

She tapped her commbadge again. =^= Thank you, sir. I’ll pass that on to Lieutenant O’Connell. Cadet Ven out.=^=

“Looks like we have a bit of time to get organised,” she observed to Aaron. “Two days and 13 hours, to be precise. I’ll notify the CMO. This night shift’s turning out to be interesting!”

She used the computer to record a message for the chief medical officer. =^=Cadet Ven to Lieutenant O’Connell - passing on a message from the Captain. We’re to pick up a number of human colonists from Ferox Thirteen and relocate them. Their medical status is unknown, but we’ve to prepare to treat them as necessary; Security and Engineering are liaising with us as well. ETA at the colony is two days and 13 hours. Ven out.=^=

Turning back to Aaron, she nodded towards the LCARS display. “So - how are the Challenger’s supplies?”

(OOC: Just to clarify, I know Lt O’Connell isn’t on the Challenger’s site yet but I spoke to Calé via Discord and we agreed on this approach for the thread.)
