After her meeting with the captain Ari proceeded to her quarters to drop off her things. Satisfied that she should be able to find the room again if needed she then headed to sickbay. She only glanced at the PaDD with the map once or twice along the way. An improvement!Entering the bay a wide smile overtook her features as she looked around. Now this was home, the sounds, the smell, this was much better. She wandered around a moment observing the comings and going’s of the staff and cadets.

Miya had been running some tests at one of the medical LCARS terminals when she glanced up and noticed a lieutenant meandering around sickbay. She didn’t recognise the woman, which wasn’t unusual; there were always people coming and going aboard the Challenger, especially as it was a training ship, but most newcomers tended to be cadets.
Saving the test results and clearing the screen - confidentiality was ingrained into her by now - she picked up her PADD and walked across to the lieutenant, a welcoming smile already beginning to show. “Lieutenant? I’m Cadet Ven Miya. Is there anything I can do to help you?”

Ari smiled as she turned to regard the voice she heard. “Oh, Doctor O’Connell, I was just admiring the sickbay and the staff at work. It’s been a few years since I’ve been on a training ship.”
She offered a hand. “ oh I of course have clearance to be here I didn’t just wander in or anything!” She added “I’m the new Chief Medical Officer.”
