Aaron was inside Sickbay, looking at ceilings. He received a quick note on his PaDD this morning, saying that he had to receive a new cadet who had arrived recently for his medical exam. And so sitting, in a chair, he was playing with a pills tube, tilting his head to the back, with the tube between his upper lips and his nose.
A pen would have been better, but I don’t think I’ll find any aboard. They’re quite rare, he thought, trying to keep the tube in balance. I wonder how this new cadet will look like.

As the door open, Aaron jumped on his chair, and the tube falls off his head. Shoot, I hope it’s not the CMO !, he thought in panic. But the one that open the door was not entering. A second or two passed before the unknown officer shows himself.

“Ah, yes !”, he said. “I was waiting for you.”. The young doctor took the tube laying on the ground, put it in his pocket and approached Zachary, offering him his hand : “I’m Cadet Aaron Williams, nice to meet you. I’ll be the one in charge of your evaluation.”

(OOC : Hi ! I’m Adrien Jouve, and as you guessed, I’m playing Aaron. And no need to worry about the frequency you post, we’re here to have fun. I’m glad to meet you, by the way, I hope we’ll have the opportunity to write together again !
P.S : Don’t forget to sign with your character’s name at the end of your post. Otherwise, that’s a really good post you’ve made !)

Zachary took the offered hand easily and returned the handshake as firmly as he thought was reasonable. He was a little curious what the other had had to reach down so quickly to grab off of the ground, but put the question aside; he didn’t think it would really have any effect on his evaluation and it probably wasn’t anything to worry about. Hopefully, anyway. Being security, even low-ranking and in-training, meant you had to be at least a little paranoid to do the job correctly as far as he was concerned.

“It’s nice to meet you then Williams. I’m sure I’ll be in good hands then!” He took another moment to look the other over after dropping the handshake, to get a better grasp of who he was dealing with, before nodding to the other slightly and the the room and equipment around them. “So what all am I going to need to do for you for this then? Happy to do whatever is needed ‘course, but medical isn’t much my strong suit so this is all a bit of a mystery to me after a point.”

He hoped it didn’t involve needles.

The thought alone was enough to make the hairs on the back of his neck start to rise up and make his hands clammy; he resisted the urge to wipe them on his uniform pants.
